In a method of refilling a developer cartridge, a container that contains an original developer manufactured by a polymerization method is prepared. A new developer manufactured by the polymerization method is refilled in the container without cleaning an inside of the container. The new developer includes the same color as the original developer or a color darker than the color of the original developer.

The looped belt has a first surface outside of the loop, and is stretched to form a substantially straight portion on the loop that extends in a first direction. The casing has a base surface. The cartridge holding unit holds the cartridge at a first predetermined position in the casing. Each circumferential surface of the plurality of photosensitive drums contacts the straight portion of the first surface when the cartridge is held by the cartridge holding unit at the first predetermined position. The first guide unit guides the cartridge into the first predetermined position, and allows the plurality of photosensitive drums to move apart from the straight portion of the first surface when the cartridge is detached from the first predetermined position.

An image-forming device includes a plurality of developer cartridges, a developer moving member and a conveying belt. Each of the developer cartridges includes a casing, a developing roller and a leakage restraining member. A plurality of rotational shafts of the plurality of developer cartridges is arranged in parallel with one another. The peripheral surface of the developer cartridge has a first peripheral part to convey the developer accommodated in the casing and a second peripheral part. The leakage restraining member is disposed between the casing and the second peripheral part and slidingly contacts the second peripheral part so as to restrain the developer from leaking out of the first peripheral part. The developer moving member moves developer leaked from between the second peripheral part and the leakage restraining member out of a predetermined region at a position opposing the leakage restraining member. The conveying belt is disposed below the plurality of developer cartridges to convey an image formed by developer supplied from the developing roller in a direction orthogonal to the rotational shaft.

The developer roller and the photosensitive drum are in contact at a contact position. Power is supplied to the developer cartridge when the power supply protrusion connected electrically to the developer roller rotation drive axis and the power supply part mounted on the outside of the developer cartridge are pushed together in the power supply pressing direction. Here, the power supply pressing direction is semi-orthogonal to the pressing action line that connects the pressing position and the contact position. Furthermore, the power supply protrusion crosses the pressing action line.

In an image-forming device including an image-carrying member, a developer-carrying member, and a casing having an inner space in which developer is accommodated and the developer-carrying member is supported, both a pushing force and a separating force are not applied to the casing so that the thickness of the casing does not need to be increased. The casing is formed with a pair of first protruding parts each having an end that protrudes outward along the axial direction of the developer-carrying member, and a pair of second protruding parts each having an end that protrudes farther outward than the corresponding end of the first protruding part. The first protruding parts serve as operating parts operated by the pressing member, and the second protruding parts serve as operating parts operated by the separating member.
