Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE).The application discloses methods and apparatuses for transmitting and receiving a preamble based reference signal. The method for transmitting a preamble based reference signal comprises: generating a main preamble sequence; generating an auxiliary preamble sequence, wherein, on a predefined resource, a synthesized signal of the main preamble sequence and the auxiliary preamble sequence is equal to a predefined preamble based reference signal; and transmitting the main preamble sequence and the auxiliary preamble sequence based on a filter-bank multi-carrier modulation. According to the embodiments of the application, the main preamble sequence and the auxiliary preamble sequence are appropriately designed so that the synthesized signal on the predefined resource is equal to the predefined preamble based reference signal. In this way, the predefined reference signal may be obtained at the receiving end by using the intrinsic interference of FBMC modulation, thereby making an efficient channel estimation.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The present disclosure provides a differential beamforming based random access method, base station, and user equipment, wherein the differential beamforming based random access method comprises, by a base station: receiving a preamble sequence from a first terminal in a differential beamforming receiving mode; determining a base station beam direction angular deviation based on the preamble sequence; and adjusting a base station beam according to the base station beam direction angular deviation, and transmitting a random access response signal to the first terminal through the adjusted base station beam. In the present disclosure, by detecting a base station beam direction angular deviation in a differential beamforming receiving mode, a base station receiving beam can be adjusted to an optimal beam faster than a beam polling way of the prior art, thereby improving the performance of a random access procedure.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting uplink demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) is provided. The method includes a user equipment (UE) determines an uplink DMRS format for demodulating a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) according to frequency-domain resources occupied by the PUSCH, in which the uplink DMRS format includes a comb occupied by a PUSCH DMRS sequence. The comb is subcarriers having specified intervals occupied by demodulation reference signals, and the specified intervals between the occupied subcarriers are same. For the DMRSs using the comb format, subcarriers with specific intervals are used for channel estimation, and values of the channel estimation are used for data demodulation. The UE transmits uplink information and the demodulation reference signals on physical resources using the uplink DMRS format. The present disclosure can improve the multiplexing ratio of uplink physical resources in a multi-UE scenario.

Various examples of the present disclosure provide a method of allocating sounding reference signal (SRS) resources. A base station of a target cell receives information of first cell edge terminals in an adjacent cell transmitted by the adjacent cell. The base station allocates SRS resources for a terminal in the target cell according to information of second cell edge terminals in the target cell and the information of the first cell edge terminals, and transmits information of the allocated SRS resources to the terminal. According to the mechanism, when there are cell edge terminals in both the target cell and the adjacent cell, it can be guaranteed that all SRS resources allocated to cell edge devices in the target cell are orthogonal to those allocated to cell edge devices in the adjacent cell. Thus, the impact of pilot contamination on system performances may be remarkably reduced.
