    摘要: The present invention provides a configuration for preventing each entity code stored in information recording media from being leaked. Authoring studio code (ASC) and disc manufacturer code (DMC) are encrypted without failure and the encrypted codes are stored in information recording media. The data setting location in program map table (PMT) is controlled such that these entity codes will not overlap the seed area that provides key generating information, so that, if the packet storing the program map table storing authoring studio code (ASC) and disc manufacturer code (DMC) is set to an arbitrary position in a content packet sequence, these entity codes will not overlap the seed area that is non-encrypted data, thereby preventing these entity codes from being leaked outside.

    摘要: The present invention provides a configuration capable of effectively preventing an encrypted content stored on an information-recording medium from being misused. In this configuration, a seed (seed 2) required for generating a block key to be applied to a process to decode an encrypted content is stored as information encrypted by using another block key Kb1. In addition, in a configuration where the seed (seed 2) needs to be transferred from a device to another, both the seed (seed 2) and a recording key K2 are transferred from the device to the other as information encrypted by using a session key.     摘要: A disk drive (10) includes a plurality of thin-film members (36) for respectively covering the desired contour portions in a plurality of suspension arms (26) of an actuator (20). Each thin-film member (36) is fixedly attached to the surface of the suspension arm to cover the contour portion around a through hole (34) formed in the corresponding suspension arm (26) for reducing the moment of inertia, so as to cover the through hole. The thin-film member (36) substantially makes the contour portion around the through hole of the suspension arm (26) flush, and the air flow caused around the storage disks (16) rotating at high speed is guided smoothly along this contour portion. As a result, the air flow is stabilized, and the influences such as vibration on the actuator (20) are suppressed.

    摘要: An optical disc recorder/reproducer, a personal computer, a television receiver, an IRD and so forth are connected mutually via a 1394 serial bus. When data transmitted from the personal computer to the optical disc recorder/reproducer via the 1394 serial bus are to be recorded, an isochronous packet is sent to the recorder/reproducer inclusive of the data to indicate whether the personal computer is a device capable of cognizing copy control information. And depending on whether the source of the transmitted data is a copy control information cognizant device or not, the optical disc recorder/reproducer updates the copy control information with reference to a selected table, and then the updated copy control information is recorded on the optical disc. This system can distinguish between a prerecorded disc and a user-recorded disc, hence achieving exact management of copy control information.

    摘要: The present invention provides a data transmission apparatus which enhances the safety with respect to leakage of encoded transmitted data by raising the safety of transmission of an encoding key or a decoding key. It provides a large capacity transmission line 152 such as a satellite transmission line for transmitting a large amount of data and a small capacity transmission line 156 such as a public telephone line for transmitting an encoding key or decoding key or information for the generation of them. The encoding session key 107 is generated by using a work key and a destination address of a receiving apparatus of the destination. Further, the decoding session key 108 is generated using one's own address and the work key. The work key is preferably encoded and transmitted through the small capacity transmission line 156. In the transmitting apparatus 101, in addition to the encoding of the data 105 which should be transmitted by using the encoding session converted as described above, transmission control information such as destination data is added and is transmitted to the receiving apparatus 102 through the large capacity transmission line 152. In the receiving apparatus 102, the encoded data 110 is decoded by using the decoding session key 108 converted as described above.
