摘要: A wireless hub device may receive wireless signals associated with a plurality of audio or visual output (A/V) devices for registering with a wireless hub system, wherein the plurality of A/V devices are configured into a plurality of zones. The wireless hub device may receive a command and transmit signals to a plurality of A/V devices in one of the zones so that the plurality of A/V devices are calibrated within the zone. The plurality of A/V devices are calibrated to adjust a specific role of each speaker within an audio system.

摘要: A plurality of heterogenous speakers playing audio in multiple zones that form a first zone using a first subset of the plurality of heterogenous speakers and form a second zone using a second subset of the plurality of heterogenous speakers. Further, determine a first audio configuration of the first zone and determine a second audio configuration of the second zone. Receive audio from a source device in a first format and play the audio in the first zone using the first subset of the plurality of heterogenous speakers. If determined, that the first format is not compatible with the second audio configuration, downmix the audio based on the second audio configuration to form a downmixed audio signal, and play the downmixed audio signal in the second zone using the second subset of the plurality of heterogenous speakers.

摘要: A method and apparatus for displaying branded video tags. An advertiser provides additional content associated with broadcast advertising content to a service provider that downloads the additional content to a digital video recorder (DVR). The service provider inserts command tags into the content that are intercepted by the DVR and interpreted as commands that instruct the DVR to perform specific actions when the DVR receives the stream from a broadcaster. The DVR intercepts and translates any tags inserted into the content stream while the DVR is playing the content stream. Tags can cause the DVR to display a branded video tag to the user which is a displayed icon that requests an interaction by the user and has an advertiser’s logo(s) displayed in its vicinity.

摘要: Systems and methods for precision downstream synchronization of digital streaming content on an edge content processor in the absence of access to pixel-level data by a video player app operative on the edge content processor are disclosed. Encrypted video streams are synchronized to unencrypted video streams using acquired knowledge of the edge content processor's latency, i.e., the time elapsed between a command to render a video frame and that frame being displayed by the edge content processor. Once a predicted time of display of an encrypted video is obtained by a video player app operative on the edge content processor, a corresponding RGBA video frame is delayed by an amount of time equal to that predicted time minus the edge content processor's latency before a command to render it is issued by the video player app, thereby ensuring both frames are displayed simultaneously.

摘要: A source device for transmitting content to a sink device is provided. The source device may include an interface configured to perform high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) authentication with the sink device, and a controller configured to determine an HDCP version supported by the sink device, convert the content so as to be encrypted in the HDCP version supported by the sink device in response to a determination that another HDCP version applied to the content is not supported by the sink device, encrypt the converted content in the HDCP version supported by the sink device, and control the interface to transmit the content to the sink device.

摘要: Robust, computationally-efficient and secure systems, devices and automated processes are described for storing content on a disk drive or other storage device that is supplied to a media encoder or other host device. The user-supplied drive may be used, for example, to store content in a digital video recorder (DVR) or the like. The host device creates two separate digital identifiers that separately identify the host device and the user, respectively, so that subsequent pairing can be performed based upon either identifier. The two identifiers are stored on the storage device and rendered upon subsequent pairing for validation by the host device.
