The invention relates to the new usage of puerarin in the field of pharmaceutical products, in other words, it relates to the application of puerarin in the preparation of drugs for P2X3 mediated pain/nervous system diseases. The experiment shows that puerarin can inhibit pain-related behavioral responses, subsequently immunohistochemical analysis, in situ hybridization, RT-PCR, protein blotting and other techniques were utilized to observe the inhibition of puerarin on mRNA and protein expression of P2X3 receptor in dorsal root ganglion of rats with neuropathic pain and in dorsal root ganglion and sensory nerve ending in the burn model of rats, it was found by using whole-cell patch clamp technique that puerarin can significantly reduce the electric current activated by P2X3 receptor agonist in the neuron of dorsal root ganglion of rats with neuropathic pain. The experiment proves that the mechanism for the inhibitory effects of puerarin on acute and chronic pain is to block the transmission of pain sense information that is mediated by P2X3 receptor in primary sensory neurons. The invention provides a kind of new method for the prevention and treatment on acute and chronic pain, and it also indicates that puerarin can act as a antagonist for P2X3 receptor, which will be helpful for the application of drugs in the prevention and treatment on P2X3 receptor involved nervous system diseases.

Abstract:
A magnetic memory or MRAM memory system comprising an M×N crossbar array of MRAM cells. Each memory cell stores binary data bits with switchable magnetoresistive tunnel junctions (MJT) where the electrical conductance changes as the magnetic moment of one electrode (the storage layer) in the MJT switches direction. The switching of the magnetic moment is assisted by a phase transition interlayer that transitions from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic at a well defined, above ambient temperature.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for adjusting forward transmission power control threshold of a terminal in a mobile communication system, including the following steps of setting in advance at a base station side a forward pilot threshold and a lower bound, an upper bound of a forward transmission power control threshold as well as adjustment ranges of said lower bound and upper bound; obtaining the current forward pilot energy measured and reported by the terminal; judging whether the forward pilot energy exceeds said forward pilot threshold; and adjusting the forward transmission power control threshold of the terminal. In the invention, the forward pilot energy reported by the terminal is judged and adjusted through the pre-set parameters above, so as to dynamically adjust the forward transmission power control threshold of the terminal in the sector, reduce call drop rate, and promote the communication quality of a CDMA mobile communication system.

Abstract:
Analog and radio frequency system-level simulation using frequency relaxation. Embodiments of the invention use a frequency relaxation approach for analog/RF system-level simulation that accommodates both large system size and complex signal space. The simulator can determine an output response for a system by partitioning the system into blocks and simulating the propagation of an input signal through the blocks. The input signal can take various forms, including a multi-tone sinusoidal signal, a continuous spectra signal, and/or a stochastic signal. Frequency relaxation is applied to produce individual responses. The output response can be computed based on obtaining convergence of the individual responses. The input to embodiments of the simulator can be a circuit netlist, or a block-level macromodel.

Systems and methods for use in handwriting recognition in computer algebra are provided. One disclosed method includes receiving handwriting input from a user via a handwriting input device, the handwriting input representing a mathematical expression. The method further includes, at a recognizer, processing the handwriting input to recognize a plurality of candidates and ranking the plurality of candidates to form initial candidate data. The method may further include, at an application program, scanning the plurality of candidates for segments that match application-level criteria, and adjusting a rank of one or more of the plurality of candidates based on the matching, to form a processed candidate list. The method may further include displaying the processed candidate list via a graphical user interface.
Abstract:
The large-scale process and environmental variations for today's nano-scale ICs are requiring statistical approaches for timing analysis and optimization (1). Significant research has been recently focused on developing new statistical timing analysis algorithms (2), but often without consideration for how one should interpret the statistical timing results for optimization. The invention provides a sensitivity-based metric (2) to assess the criticality of each path and/or arc in the statistical timing graph (4). The statistical sensitivities for both paths and arcs are defined. It is shown that path sensitivity is equivalent to the probability that a path is critical, and arc sensitivity is equivalent to the probability that an arc sits on the critical path. An efficient algorithm with incremental analysis capability (2) is described for fast sensitivity computation that has a linear runtime complexity in circuit size. The efficacy of the proposed sensitivity analysis is demonstrated on both standard benchmark circuits and large industry examples.
