Abstract: A faucet fitting system having interchangeable components useable in both single handle and dual handle faucet fixtures. The component system is designed to allow the same putty plate with breast plate, waterway spout, aerator and mounting nuts to be used with the various escutcheons, metering valves and waterways associated with the single handle and dual handle faucet fixtures. Abstract: A faucet spout mounting assembly includes a spout having an elongated tubular portion. There is a spout hub having a cavity, with an end of the spout tubular portion being positioned within the cavity and rotatable relative thereto. There is a water passage in the hub communicating with the cavity. The spout hub has exterior threads thereon and there is a spout nut threadedly engaging the spout hub and extending along the spout elongated tubular portion and beyond the spout hub. There is a recess in the spout nut facing the spout elongated tubular portion and a spring member is positioned within that recess. The spring member has spaced portions thereon, some of which bear against the spout nut and some of which bear against the spout elongated tubular portion, to thereby restrain radial movement between the spout and the spout nut while providing no essential increase in resistance to rotary movement of the spout.

Abstract: A splashproof enclosure for use in mounting the electrical control circuits for connecting electric power to a sensor operated electric actuator for a toilet room plumbing device such as an electronic faucet includes a base and a cover mounted on the base. The base is formed and adapted to mount on a toilet room wall and has a power cord opening so that a power cord may enter said enclosure from the rear. There are spacing channels on the side of the base facing the toilet room wall to space the base from the wall to allow fluid to flow behind the enclosure. There is a dam positioned on the upper side of the power cord opening and extending toward the toilet room wall to divert fluid around the power cord opening. The cover is attached to the base and there are seal elements between the cover and base preventing the entry of fluid into the interior of the enclosure. There are cable entrance ports in the cover and the base providing a plurality of openings for cables for the sensor and electric actuators. Each of the cable entrance ports include ribs for securing the cables to the enclosure.

Abstract: A plaster-protective cover for bathroom fittings is mounted recessed in the wall, the cover being fixed to the buried part of the fitting and having an outwards-facing dome-shaped cap designed to protect the fitting parts inside it. The hole in the wall for the fitting is sealed by a collar-like sealing element which produces a watertight seal and which has, at the wall end, an annular flange which rests against the wall. Abstract: A faucet cover safety device for preventing the unintentional misadjustment of a single lever faucet handle mounted on a wall comprises a faucet escutcheon plate for location between the faucet handle and the wall. The faucet escutcheon plate has an external perimeter along which is located a catch; and the faucet escutcheon plate has a centrally located opening through which the faucet handle protrudes.
