The present racket frame is so constructed such that each of the FRP sheets is made by slicing a laminated body consisting of a plurality of FRP plate elements and protective plates which laminated body is molded into the same configuration as that of the ball-striking faces of the frame core, each of the FRP plate elements is formed by long, continuous reinforcing rovings extending from one end to the other end of the plate element and being uniformly impregnated into the thermosetting resin under uniform tension, and said protective plates are arranged at the innermost and outermost sides of the molded laminated body.

    摘要: A game racket frame such as a tennis racket frame having controlled stiffness properties and light weight making it possible to selectively add weight to the racket at the region in which such weight will do the most good, namely, along the transverse axis of the stringing area. The racket frame itself comprises an integral structure including a head portion, a throat portion and a handle portion, the structure being composed of high modulus fibers such as graphite, glass, boron or the like, in a matrix of a synthetic resin. The frame has a non-uniform cross-sectional configuration and a taper whereby the thickness of the handle portion is greater than the thickness in the head portion, and the thickness of the throat is intermediate that of the handle portion and the head portion. The frame is such as to provide a tapered beam with the greatest area moment of inertia where the bending moments are highest. A tennis racket utilizing the improved frame has an improved coefficient of restitution at high velocity impact, improved ball rebound characteristics for off-center hits and relatively low vibration transmissibility.

    摘要: A novel structural member, such as a tennis racket frame, having an unusually high strength to weight ratio is provided comprising an expanded foamed plastic core integrally bonded to a shell comprising at least one layer of resin-coated unidirectionally oriented graphite fibers, the shell completely encasing the core at any transverse cross section of the structural member with a veiling strip wrapped around said core beneath the innermost or beyond the outermost of the graphite fiber layers, or both.The structural member is prepared by wrapping a veiling strip around a core strip comprising a foamable resin composition at least once around, wrapping at least one layer of resin-coated unidirectionally oriented graphite fibers about said veiling wrapped core with a starting edge of said graphite fiber layer below the outermost edge of said veiling strip, wrapping a second veiling strip about the outermost of said graphite layers with a starting edge of said last-named strip below the outermost edge of said last-named graphite layer, placing said wrapped core strip within a mold cavity, sealing the mold cavity and activating the foamable resin composition to cause expansion and generate pressure within the mold cavity and thereby provide intimate bonding of the core to the shell.

    摘要: A PEAK racket includes a body including a substrate layer and two panels. The two panels are respectively stacked on two surfaces of the substrate layer. The body further includes a racket body and a handle that is connected to a racket body. A silencing layer is bonded and fastened to the two surfaces of the substrate layer through a first adhesive layer. A plurality of silencing holes are provided on each silencing layer. An outer surface of each silencing layer is bonded and fastened to an inner side surface of a corresponding panel through a second adhesive layer. A plurality of through holes for reducing wind resistance are provided at a middle of the racket body, each through hole running through outer surfaces of the two panels.
