    Abstract: A method can be used for determining resiliency in a microgrid that includes a number of assets. The method includes obtaining status data about devices used to control the assets as well as about communication resources of this control, determining, based on the status data, the health and availability of each asset to assist each of a plurality of functions for handling disruptive events in the microgrid, determining a resiliency index of the microgrid in performing the plurality of functions, providing the resiliency index to a control system of the microgrid, comparing, in the control system, the resiliency index with a least one threshold, and changing the control of the microgrid if any of the thresholds is crossed.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure includes operating a power grid, including: generating, by a power management system of the power grid, a power grid resource allocation profile indicative of an operation of the power grid constrained by operational information of the power grid; generating a difference between a value of upper bounds from a plurality of obtained convergence paths and a value of lower bounds from the obtained convergence paths, the obtained convergence paths being based on a plurality of different initial conditions for the generated power grid resource allocation profile; and generating a resource allocation schedule for power grid resources operating within the power grid if the generated difference is smaller than a pre-determined threshold, the resource allocation schedule corresponding to a convergence path associated with the value of the upper bounds, the resource allocation schedule being configured to be received at the power grid resources.

    Abstract: An apparatus having a first set of windings disposed about a first main leg of a transformer core, and a second set of windings disposed about a second main leg of the transformer core. The first set of windings are electrically coupled to the second set of windings to selectively provide a parallel connection and a series connection between the first set of windings and the second set of windings. Additionally, at least two windings of the first set of windings are electrically coupled to each other to selectively provide a parallel connection and a serial connection between the at least two windings of the first set of windings. Similarly, two windings of the second set of windings are electrically coupled to each other to selectively provide a parallel connection and a serial connection between the at least two windings of the second set of windings.

    Abstract: A shielding arrangement can be provided for a piece of high voltage equipment spaced from a neighboring object. The piece of high voltage equipment has a first electric potential and the neighboring object has a second electric potential. The shielding arrangement includes a resistor, a shield element for connection to the high voltage equipment via the resistor, and a capacitor connected in parallel with the resistor. A resistance of the resistor and a capacitance of the capacitor together define a time constant in a range of 10 μs-50 ms.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of electroplating of a silver-graphene composite onto a substrate. The method comprises preparing a plating bath comprising: a dissolved water soluble silver salt, dispersed graphene flakes, and an aqueous electrolyte comprising a silver complexing agent, a cationic surfactant, and a pH adjusting compound. The zeta potential of the graphene-electrolyte interface in the plating bath is adjusted to be positive and within the range of 10-30 mV by means of the cationic surfactant and the pH adjusting compound. The method also comprises applying a negative electric potential on the substrate surface such that electrophoresis of the graphene flakes occurs and said flakes are co-deposited with the silver during electroplating thereof to form a silver-graphene composite coating on the substrate surface.
