    Abstract: A portable computer and a hinge mechanism thereof are provided. The portable computer includes a display monitor, a host and a hinge mechanism. The hinge mechanism for rotating the display monitor and the host relatively includes a bottom board, a pivot, a power adapter, a locking bracket, a slanting board and a parallel board. The pivot is disposed on the bottom board. Two ends of the pivot are connected with the host and the display monitor respectively. The power adapter is disposed on the bottom board. The locking bracket having a locking hole is disposed on the bottom board. The slanting board disposed on the bottom board slants to the pivot. The slanting board has a first opening which exposes the power adapter. The parallel board disposed on the bottom board is parallel to the pivot. The parallel board has a second opening which exposes the locking hole.

The driving method of the liquid crystal display panel includes the following steps. During a first time period, the first scan line and the second scan line are enabled at the same time, and a first pixel voltage is inputted to the data line. During a second time period, the first scan line is enabled, the second scan line is disabled, and a second pixel voltage is inputted to the data line. The second time period is shorter than the first time period.

    Abstract: A memory management method during a power-on self test is used to perform an access management on an option ROM during a power-on self test after a personal computer is powered on. The memory management method includes the following steps. When a BIOS is booted, an option ROM is detected. A memory segment is designated in a conventional memory. It is determined whether the memory segment is empty or not. If the memory segment is not empty, a register segment with the same capacity as the memory segment is applied for from an extended memory, and data in the memory segment is moved to the register segment for being stored. If the memory segment is empty, data in the option ROM is moved to the memory segment. The option ROM in the memory segment is set.
