Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate reduced density CSI (Channel State Information)-RS (Reference Signals). One example embodiment can be employed at a UE (User Equipment) and can comprise processing circuitry configured to receive and process a configuration message that comprises one or more configuration parameters for one or more CSI (Channel State Information)-RS (Reference Signal) APs (Antenna Ports) of a configurable density CSI-RS. The configuration parameters indicate a density of CSI-RS resource per Physical Resource Block (PRB) per CSI-RS AP and a PRB offset. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine a set of REs (Resource Elements) for the one or more CSI-RS APs of the configurable density CSI-RS based on the one or more configuration parameters and perform measurements on the configurable density CSI-RS from the set of REs to determine one or more CSI parameters. The one or more configuration parameters are provided per CSI-RS resource configuration.

The apparatus of the eNB comprises circuitry to transmit the xMIB via a 5G physical broadcast channel (xPBCH) on a predefined resource, the xPBCH comprising a xPBCH. The xPBCH may use a DM-RS based transmission mode, and a beamformed xPBCH may be used for mid band and high band.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for beamforming in wireless communication systems are described. A described technique performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring a downlink reference signal from a base station; transmitting, via a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number, a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) in response to a change in a quality of the downlink reference signal, wherein the BFRQ comprises new beam information; receiving, by the UE, a downlink control information (DCI) message to trigger a PUSCH transmission corresponding to the HARQ process number; and transmitting, by the UE after at least a predetermined number of symbols from a last symbol of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) reception containing the DCI message, information via a PUCCH in accordance with the new beam information. The UE can apply the new beam information to uplink and downlink channels.

The gNB may map data symbols to resource elements (REs) of virtual resource blocks (VRBs). The gNB may interleave the data symbols, on a per-VRB basis, to spatial layers of a multi-layer multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission. The data symbols may be interleaved based on different interleave patterns of VRB indexes for the spatial layers. The gNB may map the interleaved data symbols of the spatial layers to REs of physical resource blocks (PRBs) for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission.

Abstract: Described is an apparatus of an Evolved Node-B (eNB). The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry and a second circuitry. Abstract: An apparatus configured to be employed in a victim transmission reception point (TRP) associated with a new radio (NR) communication system is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a memory interface and a processing circuit. In some embodiments, the processing circuit is configured to process one or more predefined interference signals respectively received from one or more interfering TRPs during a guard period of the victim TRP. In some embodiments, the guard period comprises a time period between a downlink (DL) transmission and an uplink (UL) transmission associated with a time division duplex (TDD) frame of the victim TRP. In some embodiments, the processing circuit is further configured to determine an inter-TRP interference based on the one or more predefined interference signals. In some embodiments, the inter-TRP interference comprises a measurement of a UL interference at the victim TRP from the one or more interfering TRPs.

The UE may scale the PUSCH block in the first sub-band by the first pre-coder. The UE may scale the PUSCH block in the second sub-band by the second pre-coder.
