Abstract:
A stadium or arena seat with one or more embedded or placed antennas for use in wireless communication infrastructure. The antennas can be accommodated in a recessed area of the seat, embedded directly in the seat, in the armrest structure or the seat, or components of the one or more antennas may be partially located externally to any the seat's surfaces.
Abstract:
A thermoforming trim press has one or more connecting arms for driving a movable platen, each arm having a pivotal connection between two adjacent sections of each connecting arm which is normally locked during normal press operation whereby the movable platen is able to move further back from a normal retracted position to increase the available clearance when changing or maintaining tools mounted on the movable platen. The pivoting ability of the connecting arm sections also simplifies adjusting the stroke of the press. A counterweight may be driven by the crank pins to match the press stroke adjustments and to thereby correspond the movement of the counterweight to the movement of the movable platen.
Abstract:
A sloped soap holder including a rectangular base unit and a plurality of foot members disposed on a bottom surface of the rectangular base unit. A single continuous sloped soap platform is disposed on a top surface of the rectangular base unit. Each of a right pair and a left pair of a plurality of a pair of vertically disposed X-shaped side supports has a lower surface disposed on the top surface of the rectangular base unit and an inner surface attached to each of the right edge and the left edge, respectively, of the sloped soap platform. Each of a plurality of drain openings and a plurality of linear grooves is disposed within the sloped soap platform. A plurality of raised diagonally disposed linear tracks is also disposed on the sloped soap platform.
Abstract:
Footwear for an individual such as a cyclist is provided with a performance measurement device for measuring the individual's performance. A first exemplary article of such footwear includes a shoe in combination with an optional means for substantially immobilizing the shoe to a pedal of a cycle, e.g., a cleat, and the performance measurement device. A second exemplary article of such footwear is a sock in combination with the measurement device. Typically, the measurement device is embedded or located within the footwear and is not mounted to an exterior surface, e.g., the bottom sole surface, of the footwear.
Abstract:
A thermoforming trim press has one or more connecting arms for a movable platen which each have a pivotal connection between the adjacent ends of two adjacent sections into which each connecting arm is divided. The pivotal connection is normally locked to keep the sections in end to end alignment during normal press operation, but can be released to allow pivoting between the sections to be able to draw the movable platen further back from the normal retracted position to increase the available clearance when changing or maintaining tools mounted on the movable platen. The pivoting ability of the connecting arm sections also simplifies adjusting the stroke of the press while this is normally done by relocating a crank pin on flywheels driving the connecting arms. The change of position does not affect the movable platen when the arm sections may pivot with respect to each other allowing relocating the crank pins to adjust the stroke without requiring disassembling of the crank pins. A counterweight may be driven by the crank pins to match the press stroke adjustments and to thereby correspond the movement of the counterweight to the movement of the movable platen.
Abstract:
An apparatus operable to seal an opening in an aircraft fuel tank during a pressure test of the fuel tank is described. The apparatus includes a substantially dome shaped body having a perimeter. The body further includes a rim extending in an orthogonal direction about the perimeter and a flange extending in a normal direction from the rim and about the perimeter. The flange is sized to engage the fuel tank about the opening. The apparatus further includes a sealing gasket proximate an intersection of the rim and the flange, extending completely around the perimeter. The seal is oriented to provide a sealing function between the fuel tank and the body as pressure is increased within the fuel tank.
Abstract:
A thermoformer apparatus has sheet supporting rails which are divided into sections hinged together to facilitate widening of the spacing between the rails with adjuster drive mechanism as the sheet moves through an oven to eliminate sagging of the sheet as it becomes heated. Thermoformer chains are driven by a pair of independently operable servo motors each associated with a respective thermoformer chain.
Abstract:
A portable data storage device compatible with both standard and high definition digital video cameras is provided. The device includes at least one SDI I/O, and preferably at least one audio I/O and preferably at least one medium speed I/O interface. A device controller takes the high speed serial data, packetizes it, and then sends it out to a plurality of memory modules. Preferably each memory module includes four NAND clusters, each NAND cluster consisting of a flash memory controller and two NAND flash memories. Interposed between the device controller and the memory modules are a plurality of memory controllers, each memory controller controlling a group of memory modules. A user interface is coupled to the device controller, the interface including a display capable of at least two user-selectable orientations, record/playback controls and a four-way directional control pad.
Abstract:
A method of quickly and accurately associating a customer name and address with a unique RFID identification tag to be used on a waste or recyclable materials container by the customer. A self-adhesive RFID label including an embedded RFID identification tag is provided in an envelope. Using a hand-held RFID tag reader or more preferably, an RFID reader mounted in a printer coupled to a computer device, a customer name and address is selected from a database and printed on an envelope or directly on the RFID label. Using the RFID reader in the printer and while the customer name and address is being printed, the unique RFID identification number from the RFID identification tag is read, provided to the computer device and automatically inserted into the customer database record, thereby associating the unique RFID identification tag number with the customer record. The RFID label is then delivered (mailed) to or picked up by the customer, all without need to send someone to a customer site to read the RFID tag associated with a waste or recycle bin and associated with the customer record. The customer can then easily apply the self-adhesive label with the RFID tag to their appropriate waste or recycle container.
Abstract:
A method of processing seismic data comprises processing data representative of the acceleration wavefield so as to obtain information about the earth's subsurface direct from the seismic data representative of the acceleration wavefield. In conventional techniques for processing seismic data representative of the acceleration wavefield the data are transformed to the velocity domain at an early stage in the processing. The invention enables the transform step to be eliminated, thereby simplifying the processing and eliminating the risk that the transform might degrade the data. Furthermore, the increased sensitivity at high frequencies of a typical acceleration sensor compensates for the low-pass filter effect of the earth.
