An optical pickup apparatus comprising: a laser-light source that selectively emits first and second laser lights parallel with each other; a diffraction grating that includes a plurality of periodic structures joined to be different in phase from each other in a direction optically corresponding to an optical-disc-tracking direction, and generates 0th-order and ±1st-order-diffracted lights by diffracting the first or second laser light; an objective lens that focuses the 0th-order and ±1st-order-diffracted lights generated from the diffraction grating on the same track of the disc; and a photodetector to which reflected light of the 0th-order and ±1st-order-diffracted lights focused on an optical disc is applied through the objective lens, and which generates a differential-push-pull signal, a direction of a straight line connecting light-emitting points of the first and second laser lights in the laser-light source being inclined relative to the direction optically corresponding to the optical-disc-tracking direction in the diffraction grating.

To facilitate a connection operation between a signal processing device and an endoscope apparatus in which a processing system that performs signal processing of image pickup signals of an electronic endoscope and a processing system that calculates an insertion shape of the endoscope are integrated, a scope connector 41 of the endoscope has a connector for inputting signals from UPD coils 58, and can be connected to an endoscope system controlling device 5 via an adaptor 42 together with other video signals and the like.

A printer capable of printing high-quality recording is provided. A driving force transmission gear mounted on a platen roller, driven rollers mounted on a pair of conveying rollers, respectively, and intermediate gears that always mesh with both the driving force transmission gear, and the driven rollers form a re-transmission mechanism that re-transmits the driving force transmitted to the platen roller from a driving motor to each of the one pair of conveying rollers. Also, gear supporting shafts that rotatably support intermediate gears are configured so as to be adjustable in position.
Abstract:
A system consisting of a plurality of terminals storing image data and an image displaying device which are connected with each other through a network capable of two-way communication has the disadvantage of decreasing in throughput on account of slow image data transfer over the network. The image displaying device performs two-way communications with each of the terminals by a communication means at the display device side. Also, the image displaying device acquires image data from a relevant terminal while instructing other terminals to suspend transmission by the image data acquisition controlling means, thereby suspending transmission of image data. The image displaying device displays images by the image displaying means based on the thus acquired image data.
Abstract:
A mixture of image data in a plurality of categories is prevented from being present on one sheet of recording paper and the handling of printed recording paper is facilitated. Inputted captured image data is saved in order in an image memory. Kinds of the inputted captured image data are determined by the determination section. When the captured image data inputted to the determination section is determined to be of a different kind from the previously inputted image data, the determination section prints through a print head the captured image data previous to the captured image data determined to be of a different kind by the determination section.

A process cartridge detachably mountable to an electrophotographic image forming apparatus main assembly forms an image on recording material. The cartridge is transportable with the apparatus while being set therein. The cartridge includes a frame, an electrophotographic photosensitive drum, a process device actable on the drum, a shutter movable between an exposing and protecting positions for respectively opening an opening provided in the frame to expose the drum, and closing the opening to protect the drum, and a protecting member interposable between the drum and a transfer roller, provided in the main assembly, for transferring a toner image onto the recording material, upon transportation of the cartridge set in the main assembly together with the main assembly. The protecting member mounts on the frame to cover the shutter. The shutter is movable from the protecting to the exposing positions in interrelation with mounting the cartridge to the main assembly.
