    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by a UE. An example method by a user UE generally includes identifying overlapping uplink transmissions, performing a cancelation procedure involving at least one of the overlapping uplink transmissions based on one or more factors, before or after performing at least one of a first step of a multiplexing procedure to resolve overlapping uplink transmissions with a same priority or a second step of the multiplexing procedure to resolve overlapping uplink transmissions with different priorities, and transmitting at least one of the overlapping uplink transmissions after performing the cancelation procedure.

    Abstract: Various aspects to improve a sidelink communication by UEs in a presence of a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) are provided. In an aspect, the UE may determine RIS location information for a RIS device controlled by a base station, configure one or more sidelink communication parameters based on the RIS location information, and perform a sidelink communication with a second UE based on the one or more sidelink communication parameters.     Abstract: A UE receives, from a base station or a component of the base station, at least one DL grant after a reception of an UL grant, the at least one DL grant being associated with a DL cDAI value and a DL tDAI value, the UL grant being associated with an UL tDAI value and scheduling a plurality of PUSCH repetitions. The UE calculates a total number of DL grants sent to the UE based on the DL cDAI value. The UE adjusts the total number of DL grants if there is a difference between the total number of DL grants and the UL tDAI value. The UE transmits, to the base station, a HARQ codebook in at least one of the plurality of PUSCH repetitions, a size of the HARQ codebook being based on the adjusted total number of DL grants.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station or other network entity may allocate uplink resources to UEs, or groups of UEs, that are subsequently reallocated. For example, a base station may determine a reallocation of uplink resources and issue a cancellation or preemption indication that may correspond to at least a portion of the previously-allocated resources (e.g., as allocated to particular UEs). UEs may be configured to monitor for cancellation or preemption indications, and based on received cancellation or preemption indications, UEs may determine whether or not to proceed with an uplink transmission using their previously-allocated uplink resources.

    Abstract: Improved resource allocation approaches for sidelink communication are provided. In an aspect, a first wireless device may reserve a first resource for a sidelink communication and second resources for retransmissions, respectively, of the sidelink communication, and may transmit the sidelink communication using the first resource. In response to determining to release the second resources, the first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a release indication indicating that the second resources are available. In an aspect, a wireless device may receive a first sidelink communication from a transmitting wireless device on a first resource, and may identify second resources reserved respectively for retransmissions of the first sidelink communication. In response to a determination that the second resources are available for a second sidelink communication, the wireless device may report the second resources to a higher layer within the wireless device for resource selection.
