摘要： The disclosure concerns a drying cylinder for a paper making machine. The drying cylinder is hollow and is circumferentially grooved along the length of its inner surface. A plurality of collector conduits extend axially along the casing. Suction pipes project from each collector into respective ones of the grooves for sucking condensate therefrom. A siphon pipe is connected to each collector for siphoning off the collected condensate. The siphon pipe is insulated to reduce the temperature differential between the interior and exterior thereof. The suction pipes are shaped and/or spaced so that the suction pipes are able to remove a greater amount of condensate from the grooves in the vicinity of the siphon pipe than from the grooves in the remainder of the length of the casing, for attaining more uniform drying performance by the drying cylinder across the width of the web. For example, the suction pipes in the vicinity of the siphon pipe may have a greater diameter or there may be a greater concentration of suction pipes in that vicinity.

摘要： A drying cylinder for a paper-making machine comprises a cylinder barrel with end covers mounted on a hollow shaft. Steam for heating the cylinder can be introduced through an inlet at an end of the shaft. The steam passes through openings along the hollow shaft to heat the barrel. In order to reduce the risk of pollutants or condensate entering the annular space between the cylinder barrel and the hollow shaft, the openings in the hollow shaft are provided with tubular components which project into the interior of the hollow shaft. Either the tubular components themselves are shaped or a baffle plate is provided for blocking entrance of pollutants into the tubular components. A suction device removes condensate from the inside of the inner shaft.

摘要： The web forming, guiding and/or transferring cylinder in the wire section of a papermaking machine has a deformable foraminous shell which is made of filamentary material and the end portions of which are clamped to rigid rotary ring-shaped end walls. The cylinder surrounds a rigid stationary back support which engages the internal surface of the shell opposite that portion of the external surface of the shell which contacts the web. The back support has grooves and/or ports which convey expelled liquid from the web into a suction chamber for admission into the saveall of the papermaking machine. One of the end walls is movable axially to change the axial tensional stress upon the shell. The back support has a convex external surface whose center of curvature may but need not be located on the axis of the cylinder.

摘要： A drying apparatus for wet paper webs which employs a rotary drum having a foraminous cylindrical wall and being located between but spaced apart from two parallel drying rolls with foraminous or impermeable cylindrical walls. The major part of the drum is surrounded by a hotair hood, and an endless wire screen is trained over the rolls as well as over that part of the drum which is surrounded by the hood. The screen forms a loop which surrounds a stationary suction chamber extending into the space between the rolls and having an open side facing the drum as well as the spaces between the drum and the rolls. The suction chamber has one or more sealing strips which are closely adjacent to the screen upstream of the first roll (as considered in the direction of transport of a web) and downstream of the second roll. The leader of the web is threaded between the screen and the first roll, thereupon around the drum between the screen and the hood, and finally between the screen and the second roll.

摘要： A machine and method for producing a fibrous material web, in particular a tissue paper or bathroom tissue web, whereby the machine includes at least one pre-press embodied as a shoe press, a main press, in the form of a press roll, and a drying cylinder, an endless top belt guided through the nips of the pre-press and the main press, and an underfelt guided via a bottom roll of the pre-press, wherein the top belt supplies the fibrous material web that has been preformed in a former first to the pre-press and then to the main press. The pre-press, which is embodied as a shoe press and has a nip that is elongated in the web travel direction, includes an upper shoe press unit and a bottom roll disposed opposite this. The upper shoe press unit is provided with a smooth, rotating flexible press belt. The bottom roll is grooved. A relatively dense overfelt is provided as the top belt whose water permeability is lower than that of the underfelt, but in the main press when pressing against the drying cylinder, still permits the removal of additional water from the fibrous material web. The press roll associated with the main press has a perforated and/or grooved surface for absorbing expressed water.

A stop may support the press shoe in the web travel direction and may absorb horizontal forces acting on the press shoe. A tilt axis of the press shoe and a stop face of the stop may be substantially positioned in one of a common plane and an imaginary cylinder face having a radius greater than 250 m, and a press plane may be disposed substantially perpendicular to one of the common plane and the imaginary cylinder face.

摘要： A method and device for winding a paper web to form a reel. The web is wound onto a shell that is predominantly centrally driven to introduce a torque that winds the web on the shell into a reel. A pressure element extends over the width of the web and acts continuously on the outer surface of the reel being wound in order to squeeze out air. A web threading roll comes adjacent the shell during web threading. Once the web is threaded, the shell is moved generally horizontally from the web threading toward the main winding position where the web is wound. A compensation device supports the reel being wound. The first pressure element in contact with the reel may move away, and a second pressure element closer to the compensation device may press upon the reel, after the first pressure element has moved away.
