摘要: A liquid crystal display device has a gradation display function of at least an n-number of gray levels and has a viewing angle characteristic of Mi/Mj≦1.3 in a case where a display luminance range in a normal direction to a display surface in a gradation range of predetermined gray levels i to j is Li to Lj and a display luminance range in an oblique viewing-angle direction of 30° or more is Mi to Mj (where n, i and j are real numbers, and n≧i>j≧0). The liquid crystal display device has a display mode in which a display image is displayed with a display luminance range of the display image being limited to Li to Lj.

摘要: In a image forming apparatus, a lifespan copy number (lifespan time period) previously determined for each component is added to the replacement schedule copy number (replacement schedule time) of respective components contained in the apparatus, in other words the total print number (total print time) at the time of replacement of a component, and the resulting value is recorded in a non-volatile memory. Therefore, it is judged that a component lifespan has expired, each time that the total print number (total print time) exceeds the replacement schedule copy number (replacement schedule time period). Thereby, since the amount of information required for component lifespan management is small, the capacity of the non-volatile memory can be reduced, and hence cost reductions in the image forming apparatus can be achieved.

摘要: An electrolytic capacitor including a positive foil, a negative foil and an intervening separator which contains a polymeric electrolyte composite. The polymeric electrolyte composite contains electrolyte in the matrix of copolymeric acrylic ester. The separator contains at least either one of rayon fiber and cotton linter. Or, other separator takes the form of several overlaid sheets, each of the sheet being made of a cellulose fiber. The above-configured electrolytic capacitors have the advantages of high withstanding voltage, high heat resisting property and long life.

摘要: In a posture control apparatus controlling the posture of a vehicle in yawing direction by independently controlling brakes of the wheels, intervention of a first oversteer control is carried out when the oversteering tendency of the vehicle is stronger than a first preset reference value, intervention of a second oversteer control, in which the control amount is lower than in the first oversteer control, is carried out when the oversteering tendency of the vehicle is not stronger than the first preset reference value, but stronger than a second preset reference value, and intervention of a third oversteer control, in which the control amount is lower than in the first oversteer control, is carried out when the oversteering tendency of the vehicle is not stronger than the second preset reference value, but stronger than a third preset reference value.

摘要: An ECU (2) of a vehicle executes under-steering control when a steering wheel is operated in the direction to increase the steering angle under an under-steering state and the yaw rate does not increase. The under-steering control is not executed under such a driven under-steering state that the vehicle is cornering while applying the engine power to the driven wheels. The under-steering control is executed only under such a condition that although the steering wheel is operated in the direction to increase the steering angle, the actual yaw rate &phgr; does not change and not follow the operation. Thus, in the vehicle, when the under-steering control for restraining the under-steering state or the over-steering control for restraining the over-steering state is executed during the cornering motion of the vehicle, the condition for executing the under-steering control or the over-steering control is adequately set. In consequence, it is prevented that the driver feels a malaise due to the excessively earlier or later execution of the control so that both of higher safety and driving characteristics may be obtained.

摘要: An apparatus for controlling behavior of a vehicle has an ECU (2) which estimates behavior of a yaw rate of the vehicle using a first target yaw rate, a second target yaw rate and an actual yaw rate to control the behavior of the yaw rate. The ECU (2) completes the behavior control if a completion condition is achieved during over-steering control of the vehicle. The completion condition is any one of the following matters. The steering wheel is operated to increase the steering angle. The vehicle is running straight in a stable state. The deviation between the second target yaw rate and the actual yaw rate is stable in a region lower than a preset value. The estimative brake fluid pressure is approximately identical to the fluid pressure of the master cylinder. The slip angle is small. The absolute values of the first and second target yaw rates and the absolute value of the actual yaw rate are smaller and approximately resemble to one another.

摘要: A multiprocessor type exchange having a switching apparatus and a plurality of line apparatuses each containing a processor. This multiprocessor type exchange introduces a control information cell and, at the same time, has a cell demultiplexing unit in each line apparatus for discriminating whether each cell which is input is a user cell or the control information cell and separating the same. Each processor is constituted so as to perform communication with other processors via the switching apparatus by using the separated control information cell. By such a structure, a high speed bus, call processing processor, etc. of the related art are eliminated, parallel access is made possible, and, at the same time, system expansion is facilitated.

摘要: A transformer converts high frequency pulses, transmitted through a coaxial cable from a power supply unit positioned at a distance from a gap formed between a tool electrode and a workpiece and having a direct current power supply and switching element, into high frequency alternating current pulses, and is connected to that gap. The transformer includes a ring core, a primary winding connected to the coaxial cable, and a secondary winding connected to the gap. Preferably, these windings will have a minimum number of turns. Further, a bypass means is provided which selectively passes the direct current pulse from the direct current power supply or the alternating current pulse induced in the transformer to the gap. It is preferable to house the bypass means and the transformer in a single case positioned in the vicinity of the gap.

摘要: Saturated or superheated steam, or an inert gas, or a combination thereof is introduced into a gas phase above a molten acrylonitrile polymer in a vessel having a stirrer, while the polymer has a temperature of at least 120.degree. C. and a pressure at least equal to its autogenous pressure. Any unreacted acrylonitrile monomer, or both any such monomer and any acrylonitrile monomer or water used as a plasticizer are removed by evaporation from the vessel.

摘要: A direct path (D-PATH) to be used by a call link is set up in advance between all of the nodes. A connection link is to use a route separate from this direct path. In this way, if layer incompatibility is detected between a transmission terminal (13) and a receiving terminal (13) at the time of a call link, a connection path (C-PATH) separate from the direct path (D-PATH) is set up from a transmission node (8) to a receiving node (8) via a data exchange node. In this way various B-ISDN services can be realized.
