Abstract: Methods, apparatus and systems for transmitting data based on asymmetric bandwidth parts in a wireless communication are disclosed. The method comprises: configuring at least one downlink bandwidth part (BWP) for a wireless communication device, wherein each of the at least one downlink BWP is configured for a downlink transmission to the wireless communication device; configuring at least one uplink BWP for the wireless communication device, wherein each of the at least one uplink BWP is configured for an uplink transmission from the wireless communication device; and configuring a transmission resource on one uplink BWP of the at least one uplink BWP for the wireless communication device to transmit an uplink signal on the transmission resource. The uplink signal indicates a request for activating an associated downlink BWP.
