摘要： An ironing board which is foldable or collapsible, and which is easily installed in a new or existing drawer of a cabinet, dresser, table, or the like, includes a tapered nose board, a rectangular base board hingedly connected to the nose board to thereby form a horizontal ironing surface. A movable support member is pivotably secured to the underside of the base board. In the closed position, the movable support member is parallel to the underside of the base board. In an open position, the movable support member extends beneath the base board to support the base board above the drawer. An elastic, resilient cord is secured to the underside of the base board. A suitable tie is looped and fastened around the resilient cord, and the tie is also connected to an eye screw which in turn is screwed into the rear side of the drawer. A slide member is slidably secured to the bottom side of the base board, and extends beneath the tapered nose board to provide support to the tapered nose board when the ironing board is in an open position. The ironing board is removed and unfolded for use, and re-folded and stored in the drawer after use.

摘要： A portable ironing board having a two-way swivel bracket assembly. The ironing board may be affixed to a dryer and stored in the space between a washing machine and dryer and is attached to the dryer by means of an attachment assembly. The attachment assembly allows secure affixing of the entire ironing board assembly to the top, side and bottom of the dryer. The ironing board additionally has a swivel assembly which allows the ironing board to be rotated about a first and a second axis. The first rotation allows the ironing board to be swiveled from a vertical stored position in which the ironing board is directed downwards to a vertical position wherein the ironing board extends outward toward the front of the dryer. The second rotation ability allows the ironing board to be swiveled about such that the ironing board rests upon the top of the dryer.

The ironing board apparatus includes a vertical supporting post with an encircling collar for adjusting the height of an ironing board thereof. The ironing board apparatus includes an accessory tray mounted on an underside of the ironing board. The invention also comprises a kit for using an existing base cabinet for the ironing board apparatus.

摘要： A collapsible and retractable step apparatus having first and second steps is provided. The steps are extendable from, and used in combination with, a shelf that resides a vertical distance above a floor. A support and suspension leg unit is free at a first end thereof and is rotationally secured at a second end thereof to the second step. The leg unit is also rotationally secured to the first step at a location between the first and second ends of the leg unit. The leg unit positions and supports the first and second steps in a first configuration in which the first and second steps are positioned along with the leg unit in a substantially contiguous plane. The leg unit is rotatable about the location between the first and second ends of the leg unit to a second configuration in which the leg unit is in a substantially vertical orientation with respect to the floor. In the second configuration, the first or free end of the leg unit rests on the floor such that the leg unit supports the first step. The second end of the leg unit suspends the second step above the first step. The second step is rotatable about the second end of the leg unit such that the leg unit supports the second step substantially parallel to the first step. A mounting unit is secured with respect to the shelf for operatively receiving the first and second steps along with the leg unit in the first configuration. The mounting unit also supports the first step in the second configuration.

摘要： A pull down shelf assembly (20, 20a) for facilitating access to upper storage shelves (22, 22a). The shelf assembly includes a shelf guide track mechanism (24, 24', 24a, 24a') and the storage shelf (22, 22a) slidably mounted for movement between an extended position and a retracted position. A pantographic pull down mounting assembly (26, 26', 26a, 26a') coupled between a shelf mounting bracket (28, 28', 28a, 28a') and the track mechanism produces pantographic movement thereof between a deployed position, for increased access, and an elevated stored position. The pantographic assembly is mounted therebetween at locations producing near-horizontal pantographic movement of the track mechanism with the storage shelf carried thereby throughout an arcuate path between the deployed position and the elevated stored position. A spring biasing mechanism (38, 38', 38a, 38a') coupled between the mounting bracket and one of the arms biases the track mechanism toward the stored position. A shelf locking mechanism (42, 42', 42a, 42a'), positioned between the track mechanism and the storage shelf, locks the storage shelf in the extended position during movement of the track mechanism from the deployed position to the elevated stored position.

摘要： A recipe file which mounts on the undersurface of an overhead wall mount kitchen cabinet. The recipe file includes a housing frame which can being used singly or may be adapted to accommodate a plurality of pivotally mounted file drawers. Each file drawer contains a plurality of pivotally attached cascading transparent jackets, each having an opening whereby a recipe card may be slidably inserted. The recipe card is imprinted with indicia detailing the recipe. The face of the file drawer is configured to accept a display plate imprinted with indicia describing the content of the file drawer. The file drawers each have an angular bend along the horizontal axis located near the rear of the file drawer together with pivots slidable in tracks to permit the file drawer to assume an inclined position when the drawer is pulled out of the housing frame to provide a cantilever formation. This cantilever formation functions to extend the file drawer a distance from the kitchen cabinet sufficient to grant optimum management and visibility of the recipe cards.

摘要： A retractable storage system for a confined space between two stationary objects comprises a frame (22) made of a metal wire integrally with storage space (46) in the form of baskets. The frame (22) is slidingly installed and guided in two guides (24 and 26). Each guide consists of a stationary member (28) which is rigidly attached to one of the stationary objects, and a moveable member (32) telescopically sliding in the corresponding stationary member. The baskets (46) are shorter than the depth of the confined spaces. From the outer side the frame is closed by a cover (58) which is adjustably attached to the frame (22). The vertical stands (48) of the wire-made frame have upper ends (56) projecting through holes (42) of the upper moveable member (32a), while their lower ends (52) are bent perpendicularly to the plane of the frame (22) to engage the frame in the lower moveable member (28b). The retractable storage system is convenient for utilizing a space formed between the walls of the kitchen cabinets (16) and outer side walls of a kitchen appliance, such as a microwave oven (14) installed above a cooking range (18) and having a width smaller than the above-mentioned space.

摘要： A folding step for cabinet doors has a step member hingedly connected at its lower end to a cabinet door, such as a sink cabinet, and a support leg member which is hinged at its upper end to the underside of the free end of the step member. A magnet strike plate is mounted on the cabinet door and a magnet is mounted at the top end of the step member. Alternatively, hook and loop type fastener elements may be used in place of the magnet and strike plate wherein one element is secured to the door and the mating element secured to the step member. A pull knob is mounted on the outer surface of the support leg. In a stored position, the step member is held in a vertical position against the cabinet door by the magnet engaged on the magnet strike plate or the hook and loop fastener elements and the support leg is parallel to the step member. When the user pulls on the pull knob, the step and support leg members pivot outward from the cabinet door and fold down. In the down or extended position, the step member and support leg members are perpendicular to one another. The folding step is particularly useful for small children in allowing them to reach a sink or counter top.
