    摘要: A center pivot irrigation system including a framework, a fluid conduit supported by the framework, a plurality of fluid-emitting nozzles associated with the fluid conduit, and a central control panel. Further, the irrigation system has an offsite irrigation controller, including a fluid-pressure sensor for sensing the fluid pressure inside the fluid conduit and a digital compass for monitoring the orientation of the irrigation system as it rotates about the center pivot axis. The offsite irrigation controller also includes a remote transmitter for communicating to an offsite receiver and an electrical processing circuit coupled with the fluid-pressure sensor, the digital compass, and the remote transmitter. The electrical processing circuit receives an output signal from each of the fluid-pressure sensor and the digital compass, and controls the remote transmitter to transmit the operational status of the irrigation system to an offsite user.

The forward ends of the drip tubes are anchored and retained to establish relatively fixed intervals of spacing between the forward ends of the adjacent drip tubes to guide the drip tubes across the soil and through growing plants. A pressure-regulated constant-volume flow of water is emitted from ports in the drip tubes.

A method has the steps of measuring soil moisture at remote locations, refilling the mobile robot using a gravity feed water stream, defining a route for distribution of water, traversing the irrigation routes, refilling water according to soil moisture measurements, storing photovoltaic energy in a battery, and rotating, to a compass heading such that the photovoltaic array is optimally oriented.

    摘要: A convenient, water-saving and labor-saving FROG irrigation controller and system are provided, which determine the appropriate water budget and schedule for the property's landscaping based on evapotranspiration data for the geographic area, regulation data (any mandated and voluntary watering restrictions), and property-specific data, with consideration given to reduction in watering days, increase in soil watering depth, and day of year. Once set, the FROG controller provides incremental adjustments over the course of the year; the homeowner no longer needs to re-set the watering program seasonally to comply with local mandated and voluntary watering restrictions. Compliance is automatic and obligatory, meeting the water saving goals of the local water authority. Optionally presented is a web-based wizard used to determine a customized water budget/schedule that is input into the FROG controller through a data storage unit or wireless input.

First and second pressure regulators vary the corresponding operating pressures in response to a control signals received from the controller to vary the dispensing rate of the first and second nozzles.
