One example embodiment that can be employed at a UE (User Equipment) comprises processing circuitry configured to: select a set of receive beamforming weights for a DL (Downlink) control channel; and decode one or more control channel sets from a common search space of the DL control channel, wherein each control channel set of the one or more control channel sets is mapped to an associated symbol of one or more symbols of a slot, wherein each control channel set of the one or more control channel sets has an associated transmit beamforming, and wherein each control channel set of the one or more control channel sets comprises a common set of control information.

The UE can decode a radio resource control (RRC) signal indicating an SRS to transmit with a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), wherein the PUCCH and the SRS are quasi co located (QCLed) based on a spatial received parameter. The UE can encode an SRS for transmission using the spatial received parameter. The UE can encode uplink control information (UCI) for transmission in the PUCCH using the spatial received parameter. The UE can have a memory interface configured to send to a memory the spatial received parameter.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may assess a radio link quality of a plurality of frames for communication, via the interface to the RF circuitry, with a radio access network (RAN) node. When the radio link quality of a frame, of the plurality of frames, is below an out-of-sync (OOS) threshold, the UE may indicate that the frame is OOS. When the radio link quality of a frame, of the plurality of frames, is above an in-sync (IS) threshold that the frame is IS. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may process information, received from the RAN node indicating a partial subframe, of a subframe, to be used to transmit uplink control information (UCI) to the RAN node. The UE may also perform UCI mapping for using of the partial subframe to transmit UCI via a physical uplink control channel (PUSCH), and proceed by using the partial subframe to communicate the UCI to the RAN node.

In some embodiments, the partial spatial reference information comprises information on a partial spatial reference resource configured for one or more SRS resources associated with the select SRS resource set, to be utilized by the UE to generate one or more SRS transmit beam patterns for transmitting the one or more SRS resources, respectively, such that the one or more SRS transmit beam patterns are in a spatial neighborhood of a beam pattern associated with the configured partial spatial reference resource.

Abstract: User equipment (UE), an enhanced NodeB (eNB) and method of reducing handover latency are generally described. The UE may transmit measurement feedback to the eNB based on control signals. The UE may receive a reconfiguration message from the eNB or another eNB to the UE is attached. The reconfiguration message may contain reconfiguration information indicating whether or not a physical layer or layer 2 of the UE is to be reconfigured and/or a security key is to be updated. The reconfiguration information may be dependent on whether the handover is between eNBs controlled by a same entity and/or whether the handover comprises an intra-frequency transition. The UE or eNB may initiate handover of the UE. During handover the UE may avoid physical layer or layer 2 reconfiguration or the security key update. The security key and data for the UE may be provided directly between the eNBs.

The apparatus comprises a processing circuit configured to generate a PDSCH dynamic rate matching resource set configuration signal comprising information on one or more overlap resource sets, wherein each the one or more overlap resource sets comprises time-frequency resources on which any overlapping PDSCH may or may not be mapped, based on an indication provided within a PDSCH rate matching indicator signal. The apparatus further comprises a radio frequency (RF) interface, configured to provide the generated PDSCH dynamic rate matching resource set configuration signal, to an RF circuitry, in order to subsequently provide the PDSCH dynamic rate matching resource set configuration signal to a user equipment (UE), in order to enable the UE to identify the one or more overlap resource sets.

Abstract: Techniques for detecting puncturing of a first PDSCH (physical downlink shared channel) associated with a UE (user equipment) by a second PDSCH with a shorter TTI (transmission time interval) are discussed. A base station (e.g., Evolved NodeB or eNB) can configure the UE for potential puncturing and/or parameter(s) of the second PDSCH. The UE can detect puncturing of the first PDSCH based on the configuration, and can discard punctured symbols to mitigate interference from the second PDSCH.
