Abstract:
An improved data modem (IDM) and method includes a communication processor module, a mass storage module, a power converter module, and one or more DSP modules. The communication processor module utilizes commercial off-the-shelf components as well as electrically programmable logic devices (EPLD), which are programmed to provide a watchdog timer, programmable interrupt controller, flash page addressing, ISA bus decoder and controller, and various circuits and logic.
Abstract:
Systems, devices, and methods for transdermal delivery of one or more therapeutic active agents to a biological interface. An iontophoretic drug delivery system is provided for transdermal delivery of one or more therapeutic active agents to a biological interface of a subject. The iontophoretic drug delivery system includes at least one active agent reservoir. In some embodiments, the at least one active agent reservoir include a backbone modified hydrogel matrix for incorporation one or more active agents.
Abstract:
An aqua lighting system including a container capable of holding a fluid and a chimney in the container. The chimney extends from an inner surface of the container and includes a space capable of holding a light source, at least two openings to allow airflow in the chimney, and a seal to prevent the fluid from getting into the chimney. Also, methods of making and using the aqua lighting system.
Abstract:
An RFID tag includes a transceiver for communicating with a tag reader; memory for storing a deactivation string, an encrypted deactivation string created externally to the tag by encrypting the deactivation string, and a trial string created externally to the tag by decrypting the encrypted deactivation; and logic for comparing the deactivation string and the trial string to determine whether they are the same, and, if they are the same, configuring the tag to permit deactivation. A method executed by the RFID tag includes comparing the trial string with the deactivation string to determine whether they are the same, and if they are the same, configuring the tag to permit deactivation. The trial string may be created externally to the tag by decrypting, using a first key, an encrypted deactivation string that is created externally to the tag by encrypting the deactivation string using a second key.
Abstract:
An iontophoresis device is provided to delivery active agents to a biological interface, the iontophoresis device comprising: an active electrode element operable to provide an electrical potential; and an inner active agent reservoir comprising a plurality of nanoparticles, each nanoparticles being conjugated to a plurality of active agents via respective linkers.
Abstract:
An iontophoresis device is provided for the delivery of active agents encapsulated in vesicles such as transferosomes and niosomes to a biological interface such as skin or mucous membranes.
Abstract:
A method for integrating a plurality of content repositories into a virtual content repository (VCR), comprising providing credential information to each one of said plurality of content repositories, receiving authorization information from each one of said plurality of content repositories, wherein the authorization information indicates whether or not an authorization procedure succeeded, integrating into the VCR each one of said plurality of content repositories whose authorization information indicates successful authorization, and wherein each one of said plurality of content repositories exposes a first set of services to enable its integration into the VCR.
Abstract:
Embodiments provide methods and mechanisms for organizing portal content that can enable a newly created portal element, i.e., a subsection of a portal, to be persisted as an externally, self-contained entity that can be created for the element and referenced by a control tree for the portal. A control tree includes information organized hierarchically or otherwise that is used to control serving of portal content. Externally persisted self-contained entities can be created for many types of portal elements. This ability of embodiments to persist new content externally in self-contained entities can enable embodiments to provide easier division of labor during the creation of portal content and improved organization of web portals

Abstract:
A control system for a vehicle powered by a fuel cell includes a voltage conversion device that communicates with the fuel cell through a voltage bus and a propulsion system that is selectively powered by the fuel cell through the voltage bus and that selectively generates a ripple current in the voltage bus. The voltage conversion device is regulated to selectively generate a counter-ripple current that reduces the ripple current.
