    Abstract: This application relates to the field of wireless communication technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit, and for example, is applied to a wireless local area network. The method includes: A first communications device generates a PPDU and may send the PPDU, where the PPDU includes an LTF sequence; and correspondingly, a second communications device receives the PPDU, and parses the PPDU to obtain the LTF sequence included in the PPDU. Embodiments of this application can be used to design an LTF sequence that has a relatively low PAPR on entire bandwidth, on a single resource unit, on a combined resource unit, and in a considered multi-stream scenario.

    Abstract: This application discloses a data transmission method and device, a chip system, and a computer-readable storage medium. In the method, a station may receive preamble puncturing indication information that includes one or more indicators. An indicator of the one or more indicators corresponds to preamble puncturing information of a data packet. The station sends or receives the data packet based on the preamble puncturing indication information. The preamble puncturing information includes a size and location of preamble puncturing, or that there is no preamble puncturing. The preamble puncturing information may be an index indicated by the preamble puncturing indication information, to learn of a status of preamble puncturing in the data packet.

    Abstract: This application provides an information indication method and an apparatus. In this application, a sending apparatus generates and sends a first frame, the first frame includes at least one piece of sub-time resource indication information, and each piece of sub-time resource indication information is in a one-to-one correspondence with one of at least one response apparatus. In addition, each piece of sub-time resource indication information includes a time resource at which the corresponding response apparatus sends feedback information for the first frame to the sending apparatus and a time resource at which the sending apparatus sends acknowledgment information for the feedback information to the corresponding response apparatus, so that the at least one response apparatus and the sending apparatus that sends the first frame can simultaneously perform beamforming training, thereby improving effectiveness of beamforming training performed on the sending apparatus and the at least one response apparatus.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose an encoding method, a decoding method, and a related apparatus, which may be applied to a wireless local area network system. An encoding apparatus determines first available bits based on to-be-encoded data bits and a first encoding rate, and determines a second codeword number and a second codeword length based on the first available bits and a correspondence between the first available bits, a first codeword number, and a first codeword length at the first encoding rate. The second codeword number is obtained based on the first codeword number, and the second codeword length is obtained based on the first codeword length. The encoding apparatus does not need to store a correspondence between available bits, a codeword number, and a codeword length at a second encoding rate, thereby reducing storage overheads of the encoding apparatus.
