    Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes a first and a second imaging unit, a clipping unit, an image processing control unit. The first imaging unit is provided on a front face of an apparatus main body. The second imaging unit is provided on a back face of the apparatus main body.     Abstract: A camera operates in cooperation with a wearable image display apparatus configured to be wearable on an eye region of a user. The camera includes an imaging unit, a vibration detection unit, a transmission availability judgment unit and a communication unit. The imaging unit acquires an image of a subject. The vibration detection unit detects vibration of the camera. The transmission availability judgment unit permits transmission of the image acquired by the imaging unit to the wearable image display apparatus when the vibration detection unit does not detect the vibration of the camera, and prohibits transmission of the image acquired by the imaging unit to the wearable image display apparatus when the vibration detection unit detects the vibration of the camera. The communication unit transmits the image acquired by the imaging unit to the wearable image display apparatus when transmission of the image acquired by the imaging unit is permitted.

    Abstract: An image editing apparatus includes an image input unit including an image pickup circuit which takes a picture of a subject to obtain an image of a subject. A face detection circuit detects an image of a face of the subject from the image obtained from the image input unit. A face expression detection circuit detects at least any one of direction and expression of the face of the subject, based on the image of the face detected by the face detection circuit. A pupil detection circuit detects images of pupils of the subject, based on the image of the face detected by the face detection circuit. A catch-light composition circuit composes different catch-lights on the images of the pupils detected by the pupil detection circuit, according to any one of the direction and expression of the face detected by the face expression detection circuit.

    Abstract: A camera detects a face portion of a subject from a shot image to determine whether a shot image is a good shot candidate image from the features of the face portion and a face portion-related image portion. As examples, the features include, but not be limited to, (1) the shape and variation in contour ranging from the vicinity of the face portion, (2) the position of a hand or leg to be determined by similarity to the skin tone of the face portion, and (3) determination made from the detection result of the face portion as to whether the subject is a half-length or full-length figure.
