Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for calculating user experience perception of the quality of monitored integrated telecommunications operator services. For this purpose, data from the monitoring of user services is used, along with questionnaires previously completed by a representative sample of users for subsequent combination by means of correlation algorithms, and after they have been put through automatic learning algorithms, obtaining a value for the quality of the experience, which implies an estimate of the quality of service perceived by the user of said service. Lastly, the network parameters that most affect the QoE as a function of the relevance thereof for predictions of quality are automatically identified in order to provide the values needed to attain a certain quality of experience as defined by the user.
Abstract:
A method for the detection of noise and speech segments in a digital audio input signal, the input signal being divided into a plurality of frames including a first stage in which a first classification of a frame as noise is performed if the mean energy value for this frame and the previous N frames is not greater than a first energy threshold, N>1, a second stage in which for each frame that has not been classified as noise in the first stage it is decided if the frame is classified as noise or as speech based on combining at least a first criterion of spectral similarity of the frame with acoustic noise and speech models, a second criterion of analysis of the energy of the frame and a third criterion of duration, and of using a state machine for detecting the beginning of a segment as an accumulation of a determined number of consecutive frames with acoustic similarity greater than a first threshold and for detecting the end of the segment; a third stage in which the classification as speech or as noise of the signal frames carried out in the second stage is reviewed using criteria of duration.

The network includes fibre-optic segments and conventional equipment, whilst a quantum key distribution (QKD) system has devices for the exchange of information by a quantum channel. The system includes at least one filter for each one of the exchange devices and at least one unit for managing conventional and quantum channels that reduces the noise in quantum channels and has at least the following functions: attenuation of insertion power of conventional channels in the network; different polarizations in the various conventional and quantum channels; and changes of wavelength assignment in not only conventional but also quantum channels.
Abstract:
A method for automatically selecting and organizing a subset of photos from a set of photos provided by a user, who has an account on at least one social network providing some context, for creating a summarized photo album with a storytelling structure. The method comprises: arranging the set of photos into a three level hierarchy, acts, scenes and shots; checking whether photos are photos with people or not; obtaining an aesthetic measure of the photos; creating and ranking face clusters; selecting the most aesthetic photo of each face cluster; selecting photos with people until complete a predefined number of photos of the summarized album picking the ones which optimize the function: Of(C,C*,S,CSN)=αfAf(S)−γfd(HCharacter(S)HCharacter(C∪CSN)−δfd(HAct(S),HAct(C*)); and then selecting non-people photos which minimize the following function Oa: Oa(C*,S)=d(HAct,(S),HAct(C*)); ordering all the selected photos in chronological order; and finally discarding all the photos which have not been selected.

A radio base station, a public mobile network and a user equipment suitable to implement the method are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A method for managing widgets in an electronic processing device. The widgets are organized in widget packages or suites, where one of the widget in each suite is identified as the suite main widget, where each widget can be launched through different entry points and where each widget has a configuration document with the configuration information of each widget. The invention allows the definition of the full user experience of a device based in simple technologies, being extremely easy to change the device user experience with a minimum effort.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system and method for controlling access to contents. The system comprises a network for distributing encrypted content, a receiver (100) for receiving such content, at least one mobile terminal (200) for communicating with the receiver (100) through a short-range wireless interface, for example NFC, means for sending the Identifier of the desired Content, Product or Service and a user identification from the smart card of the mobile terminal (200) to a purchase platform (300) and means for sending the information necessary for decoding the encrypted content to the smart card of the mobile terminal (200). The mobile terminal (200) is configured to send said information through the wireless interface to the receiver (100) and the receiver (100) decodes the encrypted content with the aid of the information received from the mobile terminal (200). Smart cards with SCWS technology are used.
Abstract:
The method for distributing wireless audio and video signals indoors comprises receiving broadband signals in a radio access node (101) which transmits and receives wireless signals to and from at least one client device (110); the method is characterized in that the radio access node (101) processes the received signals and generates a new modified DVB-T type signal in the 5 GHz band, so that the spectral power density of the modified DVB-T type signal is at least 4 dB greater than the IEEE 802.11n signal which uses the same frequency band. This allows reliably sending interference-resistant audio and video signals, ensuring coverage, monitoring and remote configuration of the system used and ensuring quality of service.
Abstract:
The invention consists of a method for automatic characterization of telephony users through labels, that comprises the steps of, for a particular user, collecting the origin and destination communication identifiers corresponding to the user, searching for the service providers in a data base in a yellow pages-like service, querying a search engine for the service provider and extracting the labels that correspond to the service provider comparing the labels to elaborate a list of the most used and linking the user to the list.
