Abstract: A male part and a female part can reversibly couple aircraft to one another using an attachment mechanism. The male part includes a wall forming a shaft and is operable to attach to a first aircraft. The female part includes a wall forming a cavity and is operable to attach to a second aircraft. The attachment mechanism can regulate a mechanical engagement between the shaft on the male part and the cavity on the female part while the first aircraft and the second aircraft are airborne or on land. The attachment mechanism is operable to switch between an engaged position and a disengaged position. In the engaged position, the attachment mechanism initiates the mechanical engagement to rigidly attach the first and the second aircraft to one another. In the disengaged position, the attachment mechanism discontinues the mechanical engagement to detach the first and the second aircraft from one another.

Abstract: Tail rotor control system is described for helicopters. A pedal position sensor operable by a pilot yields greater tail rotor RPM relative to the main rotor RPM, giving the pilot increased control over the vehicle. This proves especially useful in certain situations, such as high altitude, where increasing tail rotor speed from main rotor speed can give a pilot increased maneuverability and stability.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to an aircraft fuselage comprises two keel beams and two roof beams. Each keel beam is formed as a single component having no joints. Each keel beam comprises a first portion that is configured to define a floor of an aircraft and a second portion that is configured to define a tail section of an aircraft. The second portion is positioned at an angle relative to the first portion. Each roof beam is coupled to the second portion of a corresponding keel beam at a point remote from the first portion.
