Abstract: The disclosed technology addresses the need in the art for synchronizing a content library between a content management system and client devices. Each content item in a user's content library is stored on the content management system and a record of each change to the content library is recorded in a content journal. A client device transmits a synchronization request that a portion of the content journal representing unsynchronized changes be processed to update the content library on the client device. The synchronization request includes a content library identifier and a content journal number identifying the content entry in the content journal last processed by the client device. Synchronization commands are sent based on the content entries not processed by the client device. Updated synchronization data representing the processed content entries is sent to the client device after synchronization is completed.

Abstract: In some examples, a system can identify a plurality of contacts associated with a user account on a collaborative content management system, the plurality of contacts being associated with user accounts on the collaborative content management system. The system can obtain activity data associated with the plurality of contacts, the activity data identifying content interaction events at the collaborative content management system. Based on the activity data, the system can identify a portion of the content interaction events associated with one or more content items accessible to the user account and provide, to a user interface on a client device associated with the user account, a contact activity feed identifying the portion of the content interaction events and respective contacts associated with the portion of the content interaction events.

Abstract: The present technology provides an interface and system for generating a previous version of a directory structure that can be useful in the restoration of a directory or file. The system, methods and non-transitory computer-readable storage media include receiving a request for a previous version of a directory structure at an indicated date, querying a content management system for placeholder content items associated with the previous version of the directory structure at the indicated date, receiving the placeholder content items, and generating a read-only copy of at least a portion of the previous version of the directory structure at the indicated date based on the placeholder content items, wherein the read-only copy of the directory structure is separate from the directory structure at a current date.

Abstract: Technologies for migrating content items from a storage network to an online content management system are provided. In some examples, a method can include receiving a request to migrate a share on a server at a source environment to a content management system that is separate from the source environment, the share having a structure representing a hierarchy of each content item within the share; identifying accounts at the source environment having access permissions configured at the source environment for the share on the server; mapping the accounts at the source environment to corresponding accounts at the content management system; creating a copy of the share at the content management system, the copy of the share being created in association with the corresponding accounts on the content management system; and migrating, to the content management system, the access permissions configured at the source environment for the share on the server.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods to quickly and accurately identify boundaries of a displayed document in a live camera image feed, and provide a document boundary indicator within the live camera image feed. For example, systems and methods described herein utilize different display document detection processes in parallel to generate and provide a document boundary indicator that accurately corresponds with a displayed document within a live camera image feed. Thus, a user of the mobile computing device can easily see whether the document identification system has correctly identified the displayed document within the camera viewfinder feed.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for shared folder backed integrated workspaces. In some implementations, a content management system can provide a graphical user interface (GUI) that integrates communications and content management into a single user interface. The user interface can include mechanisms that allow a user to provide input to generate a new workspace. The user interface can provide a mechanism to allow a user to view conversations related to the workspace and/or content items associated with the workspace. The user interface can present representations of content items associated with the workspace and allow the user to provide input to generate, view, edit, and share content items associated with the workspace.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a client generates an operation modifying a local copy of a content item on a user account at a content management system and records an intent to commit the operation to a journal of revisions at the content management system. Based on the operation, the client sends to the content management system a first request to commit the operation at the journal, the first request including a cursor identifying a current position of the client in the journal. The client sends, to the content management system, a second request for a status of the commit and, based on the second request, determines whether the commit of the operation to the journal has succeeded. Based on whether the commit of the operation to the journal has succeeded, the client determines whether to update one or more tree data structures on the client and clear the intent to commit.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for dynamically selecting and sending content items to a user device based on various network and device conditions are provided. In some embodiments, a listing of images stored within a user account on a content management system may be generated, and a selection probability value may be assigned to each image within the listing. An available capacity level on the user device may be determined, and images may be dynamically selected to be sent to the user device based on the determined available capacity level and each image's selection probability value. In some embodiments, each image's selection probability value may be based on one or more factors. For example, images that have been recently viewed, recently added to a collection of images, and/or shared within a shared virtual space created by the user, may receive higher selection probability values than other images. In some embodiments, the selected images may be ranked in order of priority for transmission to the user device and sent to the user device in order of rank.

Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to a system configured to identify a first operation in a first set of operations configured to converge a server state and a file system state, wherein the first operation is not in a second set of operations generated in response to an change to at least one of the server state and the file system state. The system is further configured to cancel the first operation, identify a second operation in both the first set of operations and the second set of operations, and initiate execution of the second operation concurrently with the canceling of the first operation.
