Abstract:
A foundation composition in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion comprising a fatty phase; an aqueous phase; at least one silicone surfacant chosen from C8-C22 alkyl dimethicone copolyols; and at least 5% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of hydrophobic coated pigments; provided that the composition is free of polyglyceryl-4 isostearate or comprises polyglyceryl-4 isostearate in a quantity such that the weight ratio of the C8-C22 alkyl dimethicone copolyol to the polyglyceryl-4 isostearate is greater than or equal to 2:1, wherein the foundation composition can exhibit good stability at room temperature and can be easy to apply to the skin.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition comprising: a dispersion, in an outer aqueous phase, of vesicles formed by lipid lamellar phases comprising at least one amphiphilic lipid and encapsulating an inner hydrophilic phase, the said lamellar phases not comprising succinic and/or hemisuccinic derivatives, and at least one DHEA-based compound included in the said lamellar phases. The incorporation of the DHEA-based compound into the lamellar phases of vesicles makes it possible to avoid its recrystallization in the outer aqueous phase and to improve its bioavailability.
Abstract:
A nanoemulsion, the oily globules of which have a number-average size of less than 100 nm, comprising a surfactant which is solid at a temperature of less than or equal to 45° C., which surfactant is chosen from esters of a fatty acid and of a sugar and ethers of a fatty alcohol and of a sugar, and at least one oil having a molecular weight of greater than 400, the ratio by weight of the amount of oily phase to the amount of surfactant ranging from 2 to 10. The nanoemulsion may be used for cosmetics and dermatological applications, in particular for moisturizing the skin and/or mucous membranes, as well as for treating the hair, and in the ophthalmological field, as an eye lotion for treating the eyes.
Abstract:
A nanoemulsion, the oil globules of which have a number-average size of less than 100 nm, comprising a surfactant chosen from mixed esters of a fatty acid or of a fatty alcohol, of a carboxylic acid and of glycerol and at least one oil having a molecular weight of greater than 400, the ratio by weight of the amount of oily phase to the amount of surfactant ranging from 2 to 10. The nanoemulsion may be used in, for example, the cosmetics and dermatological fields, in particular for moisturizing the skin and/or mucous membranes, as well as for treating the hair, and in the ophthalmological field, as an eye lotion for treating the eyes.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising an emulsion of oil-in-water type formed of oily globules which are each provided with a lamellar liquid crystal coating and are dispersed in an aqueous phase. Each oily globule containing at least one lipophilic compound which is cosmetically or dermatologically active is individually coated with a monolamellar or oligolamellar layer obtained from at least one lipophilic surface-active agent, from at least one hydrophilic surface-active agent and from at least one ionic amphiphilic lipid imparting to the emulsion a pH ranging from 5.5 to 7.5, the coated oily globules having a mean diameter of less than 500 nanometers.
Abstract:
Compositions which comprise a first dispersion of lipid vesicles which are capable of penetrating into the deep layers of the skin and which contain at least one active agent chosen from antimicrobial agents, antiseptic agents, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory agents, anti-seborrhoeic agents, retinol and the derivatives thereof, for treating these deep layers, and a second dispersion of lipid vesicles which are capable of penetrating into the surface layers of the skin and which contain at least one active agent chosen from keratolytic agents, protective agents, moisturizing agents and antioxidants, for treating these surface layers, are particularly effective for the treatment of acne.
