Abstract:
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, providing to a user device a video content item including at least one scene which includes a plurality of advertisement placement opportunities and determining a preference profile for an individual associated with the user device. Aspects further include selecting a group of matching advertisements having advertisement profiles that match the preference profile for the individual and determining a relative prominence score for each advertisement placement opportunity. Aspects further include ordering the matching advertisements according to prominence information specified for each matching advertisement, wherein the prominence information corresponds to a relative desired prominence specified by an advertiser associated with the matching advertisement. Aspects further include providing the ordered matching advertisements to the user device according to the respective prominence information so that a matching advertisement having a greatest desired prominence is displayed in the video content item at an advertisement placement opportunity having a highest relative prominence score. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes a solution to facilitate interactions between non-autonomous and autonomous vehicles when sharing a road system. An edge network can provide resources to the vehicles such that non-autonomous and autonomous vehicles can operate in a harmonic and safe manner. Additionally, an augment reality display of the vehicles can be used to further facilitate communication between non-autonomous and autonomous vehicles. For example, a predicted direction or an imperative direction associated with an autonomous vehicle can be communicated to a non-autonomous vehicle such that an augmented reality display of the non-autonomous vehicle can alert the driver of the non-autonomous vehicle of a of such to increase safety measures.
Abstract:
A system of cameras can be used to generate a complete field of view within an edge network. For example, one camera can have a field of view where part of the view is obstructed by an object and/or by the camera's orientation. Yet another camera that is a part of the edge network can supplement the view of the first camera by providing an alternate view. The two views can be stitched together by a coordinate system such that a complete field of view can be utilized by both cameras. Additionally, where a field of view is not available by any stationary camera, the system can dispatch a mobile camera to help supplement the views.
Abstract:
A view can be presented with an augmented reality (AR) view of the space. The viewer can also initiate alterations to the environment based on the information and recommendations presented in the AR view. Current conditions, past trends, and forecasted future trends can be included in the creation of the AR displays. For example, the AR system can capture, archive, and predict audio to accompany an augmented reality or virtual reality experience. The audio presented with the experience can be from a real-time capture, an audio file captured in the past, and/or a simulated audio file representing an estimated past or future environment.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes a solution to identify that a meaningful event has occurred in a person's life. Once identified, data and content related to the event can be collected and stored in a database. This data and content can be used to offer future virtual reality (VR) experiences and content. A person can be equipped with a smart device such as a smartphone, smart watch, or other wearable that can further be equipped with a tracking app that collects data from these devices and from other sources, for instance, over the internet. The tracking app can continuously collect such data and use various algorithms to make a determination as to whether the person is experiencing a meaningful life event.
Abstract:
A server may assign human personality traits to inanimate objects. In an example, a server may effectuate operations that include obtaining information about an object over a period; comparing the information to usage factors, interaction factors, or environmental factors that are linked to thresholds for a personality; based on the comparing, assigning the personality to the object; and based on the personality of the object, assigning an avatar to the object.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media provide for the detection, location stamping, and logging of electronic events and subsequent generation of habitat information. According to implementations, electronic events are detected and location stamped. Associated descriptions and other data corresponding to the electronic events is retrieved and stored along with the geographic locations of the electronic events in an activity log. The information in the activity log is used to generate visual representations of one or more geographic areas in which electronic events that meet user-defined or default criteria occurred within a predetermined frequency.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting promotional content via an avatar representing a first, promoter user to a second, target user experiencing a virtual or other environment. The promotional content may be presented via an alteration of the avatar, audio output and/or an object virtually associated with the avatar. The promotional content may be selected based on matching target user data describing a target user experiencing a virtual reality environment. Different users viewing the same avatar at the same time can be presented with different promotional content. Information may be output to attract a target user to perceive the promotional content. The promoter user can interact to obtain a current promotion status notification, as well as to select from available promotional content offerings to promote.
Abstract:
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a media consumption database that stores data elements describing conditions under which electronic media content is consumed by a user on an electronic device. A search of the media consumption database based on at least a portion of the conditions may result in at least a portion of the electronic media content to be re-presented to an electronic device of the user Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting an avatar in a virtual reality environment in different ways to different users, based on relationship data including a familiarity level and trust level with each other user. The familiarity level data and/or trust level data can be updated with each encounter with another user. The presentations of the same avatar can be different to the other users encountered at the same time, e.g., a lower resolution avatar presented to a less familiar and/or less trusted other user, a higher resolution avatar presented to a more familiar and/or more trusted other user. Audio volume and/or clarity may be similarly modified based on relationship data. A user having an encounter with another user may have a mirror view of the user's own avatar, and can improve or degrade the avatar's appearance (and/or aural output) during the encounter.
