Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to null data packet (NDP) frame format. A device may cause to send a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame to a responding station device (RSTA). The device may cause to send a first sounding NDP frame comprising one or more fields formatted to support 2.4 gigahertz (GHz) and 5 GHz bands in a non-trigger-based ranging measurement with the RSTA. The device may identify after a passage of a short inter-frame space (SIFS) time a second NDP frame received from the RSTA. The device may identify a location measurement report frame from the RSTA.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to tone mapping for a high-efficiency (HE) trigger-based (TB) null data packet (NDP) feedback physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU). A device may identify a frame received from a second device. The device may determine, based on the frame, a resource unit allocated to the device, wherein the resource unit is associated with a 20 MHz sub-channel of a bandwidth. The device may determine, based on the resource unit and the bandwidth, tones associated with a HE short training field (HE-STF) of a HE TB NDP feedback PPDU. The device may send the HE TB NDP feedback PPDU to the second device in the 20 MHz sub-channel, wherein the HE TB NDP feedback PPDU includes the tones.

Abstract: The application relates to an apparatus and method used in Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to an enhanced hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ). A device may determine two or more HARQ medium access control (MAC) frames. The device may determine a difference between a first number of bits of a physical layer (PHY) codeword and a second number of bits of a first HARQ MAC frame of the two or more HARQ MAC frames. The device may generate, based on the difference, a third number of bits, wherein the first number of bits is equal to a sum of the second number of bits and the third number of bits. The device may generate an aggregated MAC frame comprising the first HARQ MAC frame, the third number of bits, and a second HARQ MAC frame of the two or more HARQ MAC frames. The device may send the aggregated MAC frame.

Abstract: Embodiments of an Extremely High Throughput Station (EHT STA) (STA1) configured for operating in a next-generation (NG) wireless local area network (WLAN) are described herein. In some embodiments, the EHT STA encodes a common signal field (SIG) (Coex-SIG) of an EHT PPDU to include a TXOP duration field. The TXOP duration field is more than seven bits to indicate an actual TXOP duration of a transmission from the EHT STA comprising the EHT PPDU transmitted to a second station (STA2). Decoding the TXOP duration field of the EHT PPDU by a third-party station (STA4) causes the third-party station (STA4) to defer a transmission until after an end of the transmission from the second station (STA2).

Abstract: Logic to initialize a scrambler. Logic to receive a portion of a first physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) comprising a multi-user ready to send (MU-RTS) and first scrambler initialization bit sequence used to scramble the MU-RTS prior to transmission of the PPDU. Logic to determine a second scrambler initialization bit sequence in accordance with a pre-defined procedure. Logic to generate a medium access control (MAC) clear to send (CTS) frame to transmit in response to receipt of the MU-RTS. Logic to initialize a scrambler with the scrambler initialization bit sequence. Logic to generate a second PPDU comprising the CTS frame, the generation of the second PPDU to scramble the CTS frame with the scrambler after initialization. Logic to cause the transmission of the second PPDU in response to receipt of the MU-RTS. And logic to determine scrambler initialization bits having seven least significant bits are not all zeros.
