    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for video coding. A processing circuitry determines a process unit size for a decoder-side motion vector refinement (DMVR). Then, the processing circuitry enables an application of the DMVR on a current block when a size of the current block is smaller than or equal to the process unit size; and disables the application of the DMVR on the current block when the size of the current block is larger than the process unit size. In an example, the application of the DMVR refines the motion vectors with or without a template block.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus of Inter prediction for video coding performed by a video encoder or a video decoder that utilizes motion vector prediction (MVP) to code a motion vector (MV) associated with a block coded with coding modes including affine Inter mode are disclosed. According to one method, MVP pairs for the current block are derived based on neighbouring blocks related to two control points for representing a 4-parameter affine motion model associated with the current block. A final MVP pair is selected based on two MVs for each MVP pair. In another method, MVP sets for three control points are derived to represent a 6-parameter affine motion model associated with the current block. A final MVP set is selected and included in the Inter candidate list. According to another method, one or more decoder-side derived MVs are included in a MVP set for inclusion in the Inter candidate list.

    Abstract: In one implementation, a method operates by receiving neighboring reconstructed first-color pixels and current reconstructed first-color pixels of a current first-color block and receiving neighboring reconstructed second-color pixels of a current second-color block collocated with the current first-color block. The method then determines linear model (LM) parameters according to a linear model for one or more LM Intra modes. The method then receives input data associated with current second-color pixels of the current second-color block and generates a cross-color Intra predictor from the current reconstructed first-color pixels of the current first-color block using the LM parameters associated with a LM Intra mode selected from said one or more LM Intra modes. Finally, the method applies cross-color Intra prediction encoding or decoding to the current second-color pixels of the current second-color block using the cross-color Intra predictor for the selected LM Intra mode.
