Abstract: A user equipment (UE) receives assistance data for positioning that includes relative position information for anchor points, such as base stations and/or sidelink UEs. The relative position information may include, for example, distances or angles between anchor points. The UE performs positioning measurements for reference signals received from the anchor points. The UE performs outlier rejection of the positioning measurements using the relative position information. Positioning measurements selected by the UE using the relative position information are provided to a location server. The location server may perform UE-assisted positioning using the selected position measurements and the actual locations of the anchor points. Accordingly, the outlier rejection of the position measurements may be off loaded from the location server to the UE while maintaining confidentiality of the actual locations of the anchor points.

Abstract: A target user equipment (UE) identifies other UEs that are available for a positioning reference signal (PRS) exchange for sidelink assisted positioning of the target UE. The target UE may provide to a network entity, such as a location server, the identifications of the UEs that are available for the sidelink-assisted positioning of the target UE. The network, entity may generate and provide for sidelink-assisted positioning the PRS configurations for UEs, which may include the one or more UEs recommended by the target UE. The target UE may provide a list of UEs, in response to a request from the network entity, in response to receipt of a network generated list provided to the target UE, or in response to a determination that PRS measurements based on previously acquired UE PRS configurations are inadequate. The sidelink-assisted positioning may be used when the target UE is present in a null-zone.

In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a plurality of downlink positioning reference signals (DL-PRS) transmitted by a corresponding plurality of cells, wherein the plurality of cells is grouped into one or more groups, wherein each of the one or more groups is associated with one or more attributes, and wherein each cell of each of the one or more groups has the same values of the one or more attributes, reports, to a positioning entity, at least one baseline positioning measurement for at least one representative cell of at least one group of the one or more groups based on DL-PRS transmitted by the at least one representative cell, and reports, to the positioning entity, differential positioning measurements for cells of the at least one group based on the at least one baseline positioning measurement.

The UE determines whether certain PRS measurements, PRS resources, PRS resource sets, or TRPs contribute to a consistent position estimate and/or consistent positioning measurements. The UE reports to a device, such as to a location server, information about consistent groups, where each consistent group identifies a set of such consistent elements.

The method generally includes receiving, from a base station, a configuration to be used for compressing one or more measurements corresponding to at least one reference signal using an artificial intelligence (AI) encoder; receiving the at least one reference signal; and transmitting a codeword to the base station, the codeword being associated with a compression of the one or more measurements in accordance with the configuration.
