Abstract: An exercise device includes an elongate platform and a pair of foot support members slidably mounted on the platform. A mount permits reciprocating movement of the platform and a guide member retains a body support member vertically above said platform. The guide member guides the body support member for movement as the exerciser slides along the longitudinal dimension of the platform in opposite directions.An additional embodiment of an exercise device includes spaced-apart exercise members engageable by appendages of an exerciser and moveable in opposed directions, a body support member for supporting an exerciser and a platform below the body support member. A synchronizing drive system connects the exercise members with the body support member for moving the body support member in opposite directions relative to the platform by movement of the exercise members in opposite directions, respectively.

Abstract: Described is a circuit arrangement for detection of a tone whose presence indicates insertion of a headphone plug into a jack. The circuit includes a receptacle having contacts configured to receive a plug inserted into the receptacle, a current sense circuit, an amplifier coupled to the current sense circuit and a band pass filter coupled to an output of the amplifier, the band pass filter configured to pass a signal having a frequency in a range of about 2 Hz to 20 Hz. Circuitry converts the passed signal into a digital signal to provide an input signal to a controller to indicate that a headphone plug was inserted into the receptacle.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the invention provide an exercise device for limb exercises comprising: means for detecting a force applied to the apparatus; and means for sliding the exercise device along another surface separate of the exercise device. A system is also provided which comprises the exercise device with one or more sensors which are remote of the exercise device for sensing at least one of movement, acceleration or orientation. Furthermore, a computer program is provided for receiving, at a remote device, a signal transmitted from the exercise device and generating an output dependent upon the received signal.
