A method for dispensing fluid onto a substrate includes directing the fluid through the slot-shaped outlet channel while continuously increasing the pressure of the fluid.

The insulation element may be mounted within an elongate recess formed in the top surface of the service block. The insulation element may be formed with cutouts to reduce the mass of the insulation element and to provide better air insulation exposure between the bottom surface of the valve base manifold and the bottom of the recess exposed by the cutouts.

A plurality of types of coating liquid are combined to form a recording liquid and extruded as a continuous flow from an array of plural extruding ports which are aligned in a direction substantially orthogonal to a relative movement direction of the image receiving medium. While a mixing ratio of the plural coating liquids is varied based on an image signal, the recording liquid is continuously applied on the image receiving medium to form the image thereon. The high-speed image formation is enabled with a reduced amount of ink to be wasted. Preferably, the plurality of types of the coating liquid are not equally mixed but can be superimposed in the form of a layer in the coating thickness direction to be continuously applied.

    摘要: An electrically operated fluid dispenser for dispensing a pattern of viscous fluid onto a substrate during a run mode. The dispenser is turned off and does not dispense the viscous fluid during a standby mode of operation. The dispenser includes a dispenser body having an outlet and an armature disposed in the dispenser body for movement between an opened position allowing a fluid flow from the outlet and a closed position preventing the fluid flow from the outlet. A coil is mounted adjacent the armature and selectively generates an electromagnetic field for moving the armature between the opened and closed positions. A controller includes different apparatus and methods for using the coil as a heater as well as providing other heat transfer devices on the dispensing valve to maintain a constant temperature either, during only the run mode or, during both, the run and the standby modes. The above dispensing valve heating control facilitates a design of an electrically operated fluid dispenser having a body with a fluid passage intersecting first and second sides of the body and a dispensing outlet in fluid communication with the fluid passage. The dispenser includes a heater and has feed member mounted to the first side of the body with one end of the fluid passage in the feed plate fluidly connecting with one end of the fluid passage in the dispenser body. The dispenser also has an cap mounted to the second side of the dispenser body to terminate the fluid passage on the second side of the dispenser body.

    摘要: The present invention pertains to a device for applying fluid material on a substrate, with a supply canal for supplying material from a source of material, a main body with an outlet canal which communicates with the supply canal and ends in an outlet opening for delivering the material. A valve assembly located in the main body interrupts the flow of material in the outlet canal, which has a valve seat and a valve body which can move relative to the valve seat, as well as a tensioning device which pre-tensions the valve body in a closed or open position. A drive unit moves the valve body between a closed position which interrupts the flow of material and an open position which releases the flow of material. The supply canal is connected to the outlet canal in a lower part of the main body which is preferably close to the outlet opening, and the tensioning device for pre-tensioning the valve body is located in the lower area of the main body.
