Abstract:
A disperser system includes a disperser body that defines a substantially air-tight chamber therein. A sprayer assembly includes a passage, a fluid coupling, a nozzle, a valve, a valve trigger and a pouch. The passage is in fluid communication with the chamber. The valve is in fluid communication with both the passage and the fluid coupling and opens to the nozzle. The valve trigger is configured selectively to open the valve, thereby placing the passage and the fluid coupling in fluid communication with the nozzle. The pouch contains a fluid. When the chamber is charged with a gas and when the valve is opened, the gas flows through the passage and the fluid flows through the fluid coupling into the valve so that the gas entrains the fluid and delivers a suspension of the gas and the fluid to the nozzle, out of which the suspension is sprayed.
Abstract:
A dual purpose coupling piece is provided for on the one hand the screw coupling of a disposable pressure container with a dispensing gun, and which further comprises includes means for on the other hand also cooperating in a bayonet-type coupling with a suitable handheld applicator for application of the compound as in the handheld use. A suitable handheld applicator is also provided. The coupling piece and/or the handheld applicator may be designed for the production as one single product using injection moulding. Further provided is an assembly of a container with the coupling piece, and a process for producing the coupling piece and the assembly, as well as the handheld applicator.
Abstract:
A method of covering an anomaly in a wall substantially to match a pre-existing texture pattern surrounding the anomaly. The method comprises the following steps. A valve is supported on a container assembly to define a main chamber. Contained material comprising wall material concentrate and propellant material is disposed within the main chamber. An actuator relative is arranged relative to the container assembly such that displacement of a button relative to the valve changes the valve from a closed configuration to an open configuration in which a portion of the propellant material is allowed to force the contained material out of the main chamber through the outlet. A first portion of the contained material is applied to the anomaly by directing the outlet at the anomaly and displacing the button. Optionally, a second portion of the contained material may be applied to the base coat by directing the outlet at the base coat and displacing the button. If applied, the second portion of the contained material forms a desired texture pattern on the base coat that substantially matches the pre-existing texture pattern.
Abstract:
A lever of an aerosol valve having a valve stem includes a lever member having first and second end portions, a first aperture disposed in the first end portion, and a second aperture disposed between the first and second end portions. The first aperture is configured to permit the lever member to be releasably received over a valve stem of an aerosol valve in a dispensing position, in which the second end portion extends outwardly from the valve stem to provide for pivotally displacing the valve stem to dispense product therethrough. The second aperture is configured so that the lever member fits in a stored position with the second aperture around a portion of the valve stem, and the first and second end portions extending alongside the valve stem, such that the lever member may be stored under a cover.
Abstract:
A dispensing system includes a shroud for holding a container. The shroud has a gripping portion adapted to be gripped by a hand of a user and an actuation area. The actuation area is activated by a user upon exertion of a force generally transverse to a central longitudinal axis. The force rotates the actuation area about a rotation point that is on the central longitudinal axis of the dispensing system.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an adapter (1) for aerosol cans, particularly for discharging mounting foams, said adapter comprising a receiving device (2) for the valve of the aerosol can, a conveying tube (3) for can content to be discharged which is arranged at the receiving device (2), a connection (4) on the conveying tube (3) to accommodate a trunk (16) used to enable the can content to be discharged in a well-aimed manner, a handle (5) to actuate the receiving device (2) counter to the valve of the can as well as holding means (6) for fixing the adapter to a crimping lip of the dome (15) of the can, with the receiving device (2) interacting with and having a sealing effect on the valve disk of the aerosol can and the receiving device (2) being flexibly integrated into the adapter (1).
Abstract:
An aerosol generator device has an elongate body with an interior passageway extending longitudinally to its mouth end. The device receives an interchangeable, pressurised canister charged with a nicotine containing liquid that is discharged in a metered dose on manual actuation of a button member that causes a valve in the canister to open and discharge through a discharge tube. A sleeve releaseably couples the canister to the body. The button member is slidably mounted on the body for reciprocal movement along a trigger axis Y-Y′ extending transversely of the longitudinal axis X-X′ of the device, and has a manually depressible surface portion and a camming surface portion that drives a slidable nozzle member to press the discharge tube inwardly of the canister to open its valve and release liquid into the nozzle member. Nozzle forms an aerosol from the liquid, which is delivered to the consumer through outlets in the mouth end of the device.
Abstract:
A continuous dispensing actuator assembly having a mounting cup, an actuator, an overcap and a locking adaptor provides for automatic discharge of the contents of a pressurized container. The mounting cup secures to an open end of the pressurized container and has a valve biased into a normally extended closed position with an extending valve stem. The overcap includes a base portion affixed to the mounting cup, an orientation tab slidably residing within the slot in the actuator to prevent rotational movement of the actuator, a locking mechanism and a slot in the locking mechanism sized to allow passage of the actuator cam post.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a dispensing device (1) for dispensing a product. The dispensing device comprises: a container (2) containing the product under pressure, the container having a top (7), bottom (5) and body portion (8), an axial direction being defined between the bottom and top; a valve mechanism (3) mounted at the top of the container, the valve mechanism being movable with respect to the container for pressurized discharge of the product out of the container; and a dispensing cap (4) mounted on the top of the container. The dispensing cap carries: a nozzle (21) debouching outside the cap for spraying the product, the nozzle being connected to the valve mechanism by a conduit; and art actuating member (23) having a horizontal arm (25) and a vertical arm (24). The horizontal arm is hingedly suspended in the cap and engages the valve mechanism to actuate the valve mechanism upon pulling the vertical arm towards the container portion. The body portion of the container has a lower portion (40) and an upper portion (41) providing a one-band grip (42). The vertical arm is arranged to be engageable by at least one finger of a hand gripping the one-band grip. The one-hand grip is constricted in its circumference with respect to the lower portion.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an actuation device for a spray can of the type comprising a curl portion at the top of the spray can and a nozzle through which a pressurized fluid is dispensed through a top portion thereof. The actuation device includes a lever. The lever has an elongated slot through a portion thereof for receiving a portion of the nozzle. The lever also has a handle at one end and an engaging surface at the other end. The engaging surface engages the curl of the spray can and securely holds the actuation device on the spray can. When a force is applied to the handle to urge the handle towards the spray can, the lever depresses the nozzle to thereby dispense the pressurized fluid therethrough.
