Abstract: An exchangeable filter element of a liquid filter has a filter medium surrounding circumferentially a virtual axis of the filter element. A discharge closure element is arranged eccentrically at an axial end face of the filter element. The discharge closure element closes off a discharge opening of a discharge channel of the filter housing when the filter element is installed in the filter housing. The discharge channel serves to empty liquid from the filter when the filter element is removed. The discharge closure element has a limited circumferential expansion with respect to the virtual axis. The discharge closure element has a closure surface arranged at an axial end face of the discharge closure element. The closure surface is at least partially axially oriented. The closure surface rests so as to seal axially at a sealing section of the filter housing that surrounds the discharge opening of the filter housing.

Abstract: Valves, internal combustion engines including such valves, and methods of on-board diagnostic leak detection for a crankcase ventilation system using such valves are disclosed. Each valve has a housing defining a first port and a second port in fluid communication with one another and defining a valve seat therebetween. A biasing member biases a poppet sealing member into a normally open position (defining unrestricted flow through the valve) and a commanded actuator is connected to the poppet sealing member. The poppet sealing member has an orifice therethrough defining a restricted flow path, and, upon command, the commanded actuator moves the poppet sealing member from the open position to a restricted flow position in which the poppet sealing member is seated against the valve seat for restricted flow thorough the orifice in the poppet sealing member.

A filter element sealing surface or filter element seal surface of a filter element sealing device is provided at the end body and continuously surrounds circumferentially the filter element drainage opening. The filter element drainage opening is closed by the filter element sealing device when the filter element is mounted in the filter housing of the filter. The filter element sealing surface or filter element seal surface is axially oriented with at least one direction component relative to the axis.

Abstract: A separator for separating liquid from a gas flow is provided with a nozzle carrier element provided with a nozzle arrangement having one or more nozzles. An impact element is arranged downstream in flow direction of the gas flow at least partially opposite the nozzle arrangement. A permanent cover device is provided that covers at least one of the one or more nozzles of the nozzle arrangement. The permanent cover device reduces by at least 50% a through-flow of the gas flow through the at least one of the one or more nozzles of the nozzle arrangement compared to the one or more nozzles of the nozzle arrangement that are free from the permanent cover device. An assembly kit for producing such a separator is provided with a nozzle carrier element with nozzle arrangement and one or more nozzles, an impact element, a cover device, and a liquid reservoir.
