Abstract: A valve extension tool is configured to operate a hand wheel of a valve. The valve extension tool includes a handle configured for operation by a first operator and a pipe assembly connected to the handle. The pipe assembly includes a proximal pipe segment connected to the handle, a crank connected to the proximal pipe segment and configured for operation by a second operator, and a distal pipe segment connected to the crank. In addition, the valve extension tool includes a front pipe segment connected to the distal pipe segment of the pipe assembly. Further, the valve extension tool includes a joint connected to the front pipe segment, wherein the joint is configured to engage a hand wheel of a valve.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the use of a multicarboxylate, such as an alkyl alkoxy dicarboxylate, in enhanced oil recovery processes. Embodiments relate to an aqueous stream and the use thereof. The aqueous stream includes a compound having the chemical formula: R1—R2—R3, wherein R1 includes a branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated, cyclic or non-cyclic, hydrophobic carbon chain having an oxygen atom linking R1 and R2; R2 includes an alkoxylated chain comprising ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, butylene oxide, or a combination thereof; and R3 includes a branched or unbranched hydrocarbon chain and 2-5 —COOH or —COOM groups wherein M is a monovalent, divalent, or trivalent cation. R3 includes 2-12 carbon atoms.

Abstract: An improved hydroisomerization catalyst system and process for making a base oil product using a combined catalyst system comprising SSZ-91 molecular sieve and SSZ-95 molecular sieve. The catalyst system and process generally involves the use of a catalyst comprising an SSZ-91 molecular sieve and a separate catalyst comprising an SSZ-95 molecular sieve to produce dewaxed base oil products by sequentially contacting the catalysts with a hydrocarbon feedstock. The catalyst system and process provide improved base oil yield along with other beneficial base oil properties.

Abstract: A method is described for training a model that refines estimated parameter values within core images is disclosed. The method includes receiving multiple training image pairs wherein each training image pair includes: (i) an unrefined core image of a rock sample to be used for estimating rock properties, and (ii) a refined core image of the same rock sample; generating a training dataset from the multiple training image pairs; receiving an initial core model; generating a conditioned core model by training, using the multiple training image pairs, the initial core model; and storing the conditioned core model in electronic storage. The conditioned core model may be applied to an initial target core image data set to generate a refined target sore image dataset. The method may be executed by a computer system.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for reducing elemental sulfur production in a gas production plant that includes receiving produced fluids high in hydrogen sulfide, removing hydrogen sulfide and converting hydrogen sulfide to elemental sulfur in a Claus unit. An acid gas stream is diverted from a feed line to the Claus unit in the gas processing plant and directed to a multistage acid gas compressor. An elemental sulfur production rate is reduced without reducing a production rate of the produced fluids. The compressed acid gas stream can be injected into a subterranean formation. In some embodiments, the gas production plant is integrated with an oil processing and gas injection plant.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods of using liquid polymer and inverse emulsion compositions comprising one or more hydrophobic liquids having a boiling point at least about 100° C.; one or more acrylamide-(co)polymers; one or more emulsifier surfactants; one or more inverting surfactants; and one or more stabilizing agents (e.g., one or more siloxane polyether compounds, one or more poly(alkyl)acrylate compounds, or any combination thereof). When the composition is inverted in an aqueous solution, it provides an inverted solution having a filter ratio using a 1.2 micron filter (FR1.2) of about 1.5 or less. The inverted solutions can be used in oil and gas operations.
