    Abstract: A bedding foundation has a linear actuator for moving a roller carriage forward and backwards. The roller carriage includes wheels which move along rails supported below a rigid platform having an opening extending through the platform. The roller carriage includes a lifter which raises and lowers a roller independently of the movement of the linear actuator. Regardless of the position of the linear actuator, the roller may be raised or lowered. The roller moves back and forth inside the opening extending through the rigid platform and imparts a massage movement to a mattress above the foundation.

    Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and computer program products for quilting webs without compressing the webs. A quilting machine includes a needle bar to which needles are attached, needle thread passing through each needle, a looper shaft to which loopers are attached, a looper corresponding to each needle and from which looper thread is provided to form stitches, and a retainer bar to which spreaders are attached to facilitate stitching. A drive pulley powered by a first servo motor rotates cranks to move the needles through a cycle and rotates a belt which rotates an indexer pulley. Rotation of the indexer pulley oscillates the looper shaft and reciprocates the retainer bar. Another drive pulley powered by a second servo motor operates to move an input web through the machine between chain stitches.

    Abstract: A posturized comfort layer for a bedding or seating product has different sections of different firmness due to different pocketed mini coil springs within the sections. The springs may be individually pocketed between two sheets of non-woven polypropylene fabric joined with circular or rectangular weld seams. Regardless of the shape of the weld seams, the different firmness of the different sections of the comfort layer may be due to different mini coil springs contained in the pockets. In some embodiments, all pockets may have the same spring and the springs contained in different size weld seams to create pockets of different heights.

    Abstract: A bedding foundation comprises a connector assembly and a stabilizer assembly at each corner of the product for joining perpendicular first and second trusses. Each stabilizer assembly comprises a first bracket secured to the first truss, a second bracket secured to the second truss and a leg assembly comprising a lag and a threaded rod. One of the first and second brackets has a threaded boss and the other of the first and second brackets has an opening aligned with the threaded boss. The threaded rod extends through the aligned threaded boss and opening of the first and second brackets and the leg abuts the lower bracket to support the foundation above the ground.

    Abstract: A comfort layer for a bedding or seating product has fast-acting pockets characterized by the individual mini springs of the comfort layer being pocketed with permeable fabric having apertures therein. Apertures in the fabric facilitate airflow through the fabric. The permeable fabric is specifically structured to facilitate airflow while minimizing noise.     Abstract: An apparatus for upholstering a truss allows an operator to staple a fabric web to the truss, rotate the truss, further staple the semi-finished truss and cut the fabric web. The truss is fully upholstered after the end surfaces of the truss are wrapped up in fabric and the fabric stapled in place. The apparatus may accommodate different size trusses. A web of fabric is pulled around at least one roller in the apparatus by rotation of two vise mechanisms on opposite sides of the truss.
