Abstract:
Provided are methods relating to compositions that include a CDP-topoisomerase inhibitor, e.g., a CDP-camptothecin or camptothecin derivative conjugate, e.g., CRLX101.
Abstract:
A system and method for anticipating consumer behavior and determining transaction incentives for influencing consumer behavior comprises a computer system and associated database for determining cross time correlations between transaction behavior, for applying the function derived from the correlations to consumer records to predict future consumer behavior, and for deciding on transaction incentives to offer the consumers based upon their predicted behavior.
Abstract:
A process generates, with a game of chance entry generation apparatus, a plurality of game of chance entries such that (i) each game of chance entry provides a game of chance player with an opportunity to play the game of chance and (ii) the game of chance provides a plurality of offered non-cash prizes such that a cost in cash incurred by a game of chance operator for a plurality of redeemed non-cash prizes, which is a subset of the plurality of offered non-cash prizes, is less than a fair market value of purchasing the plurality of offered non-cash prizes as a result of the cost in cash incurred by the game of chance operator being calculated on a basis of an estimated redemption of the plurality of offered non-cash prizes being less than a full redemption of the plurality of offered non-cash prizes.
Abstract:
A system for reducing peak power usage in a cooking appliance having an oven cavity therein is provided. The system includes at least one power consuming unit with at least two separately controllable elements, a user adjustable electromechanical switching device for controlling energization of the at least one power consuming unit, a control configured to receive and process a utility state signal indicative of the current state of an associated utility; and an element switching device responsive to the control and configured to selectively enable and disable energization of one of the elements in response to the utility state signal.
Abstract:
A diagnostic test device comprising means for sampling a liquid biological sample, means for reacting the sample with at least one reagent to provide one or more visible indicia and an optical detector for detecting the presence of said one or more indicia, the device further comprising a releasable tether which is released by contact with the liquid sample, thereby to cause the optical detector to detect the said one or more indicia.

Abstract:
An exercise device having a solid body of elastic material and being substantially homogeneous throughout. The elastic material is a visco-elastic urethane having quasi-liquid properties and substantially faultless memory. The body has a selectively curved continuous uninterrupted outer surface that is generally egg-shaped.
Abstract:
A process is provided. The process provides a lottery game. Further, the process indicates a first price category and a second price category from which a lottery player can purchase a lottery ticket. In addition, the process indicates a first partial match prize distribution that can be won with a lottery ticket purchased from the first price category that has a partial match of a predetermined quantity of numbers between a set of player numbers appearing on the lottery ticket purchased from the first price category and a randomly selected set of numbers. The process also indicates a second partial match prize distribution that can be won with a lottery ticket purchased from the second price category that has a partial match between the set of player numbers appearing on the lottery ticket purchased from the second price category and the randomly selected set of numbers.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method of conducting a teleconference is disclosed. The method includes selecting a group of potential conferees using a graphical user interface tool displayed on a display screen, automatically setting up the teleconference by accessing telephone numbers for each conferee of the group of potential conferees and individually attempting to make contact with the group of potential conferees over a telephone system. The method further includes updating contact status information for the group of potential conferees during the automatic set up of the teleconference. A teleconference is established between the available conferees of the group of potential conferees.
