摘要: An improved optical detection unit for an assay device, such as a lateral flow device, for the quantitative determination of the concentration of an analyte in a liquid sample, and an assay device comprising the same. The detection unit comprises an organic light emitting diode (OLED) emitter that has an emission spectrum E within the wavelength range from λ1 to λ2, and an organic photodiode detector (OPD) that has a light detection spectrum S within the wavelength range from λ1 to λ2. The detection unit has a test region that comprises a light absorbing component that has an absorbance spectrum A within the wavelength range from λ1 to λ2. The test region is positioned adjacent to the emitter and the detector to form an optical pathway from the light emitting diode to the photodiode through at least a portion of the test region. Formula M defines a relationship between E, S and A, and M is less than about 0.4.

摘要: The present invention provides a system for analyzing a sample liquid comprising a test tape having a plurality of test elements, a tape transport device which successively transports the test elements to a sample application site while advancing the tape, and a measuring device which scans the test elements loaded with sample liquid at a measuring site. The measuring site is located at a distance from the sample application site in the direction of tape movement. The tape transport is interrupted in order to exactly position a wetted area of the test elements carrying a sample liquid at the measuring site by means of a positioning device that responds to the presence of sample liquid on the test element.

摘要: There is provided a test method for analyzing a body fluid in which a test tape is used in a test device to successively provide analytical test fields stored on the test tape, wherein body fluid is applied by a user to the test field provided at a time and the said test field is photometrically scanned using a measuring unit of the device to record measurement signals. To increase the measurement reliability, it is proposed that a control value is determined from a time-dependent and/or wavelength-dependent change in the measurement signals and that the measurement signals are processed as valid or discarded as erroneous depending on the control value.

摘要: A system and method for analysis of colorimetric test strip strips and disease management. The system can include an accessory that is operably coupled to a mobile device, the mobile device acquiring and/or analyzing images of the colorimetric test strips. The light box accessory can be detachably attached to the mobile device, or made to remain attached to the mobile device, but with the capability of having the light box accessory removed from the field of view of the camera for general photography purposes. In other embodiments, an image containing known calibration color(s) and reagent area(s) is obtained sans the light box for comparison with a previous calibration image to model changes in ambient lighting conditions and determine a color correction function. The correction can be applied to the detected reagent area color(s) for matching between the detected reagent area color(s) and reference color(s) on the reference chart. Optionally, the information can be processed and displayed to provide feedback, as well as transmitted to a health provider for analysis.

An optical demagnifier is disposed in the modular housing interposed between the rapid diagnostic test and the mobile phone camera.
