The dispensing nozzle assembly may include a micro-ingredient mixing chamber, a number of micro-ingredient lines in communication with the micro-ingredient mixing chamber such that the micro-ingredients mix therein, and a mixed micro-ingredient exit such the mixed micro-ingredients are dispensed into the fluid stream.
Abstract:
A container comprising a polyester composition with enhanced carbon dioxide and oxygen barrier properties is provided. The polyester composition comprises a polyester and a gas barrier enhancing additive. In a particular embodiment, the gas barrier enhancing additive comprises a compound having the chemical formula: X—(X1)s—COO—(X2)t—X3—(X4)u—OOC—(X5)v—X6 or X—(X1)s—OOC—(X2)t—X3—(X4)u—COO—(X5)v—X6
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention can include systems and methods for dispensing consumable products. In one embodiment, a product dispenser is provided. The product dispenser can include a user interface operable to receive consumer inputs and to present product selection information. In addition, the product dispenser can include a reader configured to obtain identification information associated with a consumer. The product dispenser can include a controller in communication with the reader and user interface, and operable to execute a set of instructions to receive from the reader identification information associated with a consumer. The controller can also be operable to execute a set of instructions operable to retrieve consumer information based at least in part on the identification information, and provide product selection information at the user interface based at least in part on the consumer information.
Abstract:
There is provided a method of regulating the formulation of a multi-component product comprising a product attribute profile, the method comprising providing a first and second component of the product, each component having a component attribute profile; supplying to a product formulation zone the first component and the second component in a desired ratio and combining the first and second components together to provide the product or a precursor thereof to yield a target product attribute profile; responsive to a change or predicted change in at least one component attribute profile, supplying information concerning the attribute change to a data processing apparatus and calculating with respect to that change an adjustment in the ratio to reduce the deviation of one or more attributes of the product attribute profile from the target product attribute profile. A production system is also provided.
Abstract:
A system for optimizing blending. The system can include a processor configured to aggregate material information, aggregate production information, model consumer liking of the at least one product, and provide plan information for controlling production resources based on the material information, the production information, and the consumer liking. The material information can be associated with a product input of the at least one product. The production information can be associated with the production resources of the at least one product.
Abstract:
The present application thus provides a magnetic drive system for maneuvering a container across a deck. The magnetic drive system may include a puck to support the container on the deck, a driven magnet positioned about the puck, an actuator positioned under the deck, and a drive magnet positioned about the actuator for movement therewith.
Abstract:
The present application provides a dispensing system for dispensing a beverage from a container. The dispensing system may include a dispensing valve adapted to be positioned within the container, a dispensing valve receptacle for receiving the dispensing valve, and a dispensing lever connected to the dispensing valve receptacle. Moving the dispensing lever causes the dispensing valve receptacle to rotate the dispensing valve so as to dispense the beverage from the container.
Abstract:
A handle may be provided with a neck supporting part that mates with the neck of the bottle, a bottom supporting part that receives the bottom of a bottle and supports the bottom of the bottle, and a gripping part that connects the bottom supporting part and the neck supporting part. The neck supporting part may have a first engagement part and a second engagement part with which the neck may engage and disengage. The gripping part extends in a substantially vertical direction along the body of the bottle when the neck is engaged with the first engagement part and extends in a substantially slanted direction relative to the substantially vertical direction so as to draw apart from the bottle when the neck is engaged with the second engagement part.
Abstract:
A computer assisted method and system for accurately predicting CO2 shelf-life of polyester containers for carbonated beverages utilizes computer models, which take in to account all relevant physical and chemical parameters. The computer models permit a container designer to readily and accurately predict CO2 shelf-life.
Abstract:
A process for reducing acetaldehyde concentration in beverages contained in polyester-based packaging, wherein oxygen permeation into the container is reduced or eliminated. The polyester contains an oxidation catalyst active for the oxidation of acetaldehyde to acetic acid. A composition comprising a polyester and said oxidation catalyst. A polyester-based container comprising said oxidation catalyst, and a bottled beverage having a polyester-based container comprising an oxidation catalyst active for the oxidation of acetaldehyde to acetic acid.
