Abstract: An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) comprises one or more baseband processors to process payload size comprising a number of feedback bits for a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) configuration received from a New Radio (NR) NodeB (gNB) for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission without grant, and to determine a size of reserved resource elements (REs) and mapping pattern in accordance with the configured HARQ-ACK payload size, and to transmit uplink shared channel on PUSCH without grant which is rate-matched around the reserved REs. The UE alternatively comprises one or more baseband processors to process a downlink control information (DCI) grant received from a to schedule a PUSCH transmission, wherein the one or more baseband processors are configured for dynamic DCI grant overwriting to process a dynamic indication to interrupt the scheduled PUSCH transmission.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) using a self-contained time division duplex (TDD) subframe to communicate with an eNodeB within a wireless communication network is disclosed. The UE can determine, at the UE, an advanced physical uplink control channel (xPUCCH) resource index to designate one or more physical resources for transmission of the xPUCCH, wherein the one or more physical resources are multiplexed using at least one or more of frequency division multiplexing (FDM), code division multiplexing (CDM), or combination thereof. The UE can signal a transceiver of the UE to transmit to the eNodeB up link control information (UCI) using the one or more physical resources designated by the xPUCCH resource index.

Abstract: An apparatus of a base station, system and method. The apparatus includes a memory and processing circuitry configured to: determine a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on a first component carrier; encode a first signal to be transmitted on the PDCCH, the first signal including downlink control information (DCI) on resources for a second signal to be transmitted on a second component carrier, wherein the DCI is based on a predetermined numerology, and wherein respective numerologies of the first component carrier and the second component carrier are different from one another. The processing circuitry is further to cause transmission of the first signal on the PDCCH, wherein a receiver of the second signal is to process the second signal based on the control information in the first signal.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for communicating in a cellular communications network, including provision of a user equipment comprising processing circuitry to: receive from a first cell a control signal comprising a physical Time Division Duplex Uplink-Downlink configuration indicator channel (PTCICH); decode from the PTCICH a Time Division Duplex Uplink-Downlink (TDD UL-DL) configuration; and communicate with the first cell having applied the TDD UL-DL configuration in respect of subframes associated with the first cell, wherein: the PTCICH spans less than or equal to 32 Resource Elements. Also user equipment comprising processing circuitry to: receive a control signal from a first cell; decode the control signal received from the first cell thereby to determine a second cell TDD UL-DL configuration; and communicate with the second cell having applied the second cell TDD UL-DL configuration in respect of subframes associated with the second cell.

Abstract: Devices and methods of providing symmetric UL and DL ACK/NACKs is generally described. UL ACK/NACKs of different UEs are multiplexed and received by a UE with a PUSCH. The receiving UE in response transmits the DL ACK/NACK. The ACK/NACK may be transmitted in a localized or distributed manner among subbands that may be adjacent or each may have blocks separated by blocks of a different subband. The ACK and NACK may use independent resources or the NACK may not be transmitted on the single ACK/NACK resource, the lack of an ACK serving as a NACK. The ACK/NACK may be transmitted using a beamforming weight shaped by the received PUSCH/PDSCH. The ACK/NACK symbol may be located in the first symbol, adjacent to the PUSCH/PDSCH, or at the end of a TTI. If adjacent, the UL grant or UL assignment may indicate whether the ACK/NACK resource is used by the PUSCH/PDSCH.

Abstract: Downlink control information techniques for wireless communications with shorter TTI (S-TTI) length are disclosed. An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode signaling indicating a duration of a time window, the time window comprising a plurality of S-TTIs forming a single TTI. Absence of a discontinuous reception (DRX) indicator is detected within control information received within a first S-TTI of the plurality of S-TTIs. Upon detecting the absence of the DRX indicator within received control information, a S-PDCCH within each of the plurality of S-TTIs is monitored during the duration. Scheduling information received via the S-PDCCH within one of the plurality of S-TTIs is decoded, and data is encoded for transmission on a shared data channel based on the scheduling information.
