Abstract:
An apparatus and method for generating an output signal that tracks the temperature coefficient of a light source are provided. A light source temperature coefficient tracking mechanism (e.g., a current source circuit) that generates an output signal, which tracks the temperature coefficient of the light source (e.g., temperature coefficient of a light emitting diode (LED)) is provided. A proportional to absolute temperature current source circuit (PTAT current source circuit) generates a first signal. A complimentary to absolute temperature current source circuit (CTAT current source circuit) generates a second signal. The output signal that tracks the temperature coefficient of the light source is based on the first signal and the second signal.
Abstract:
A method for selecting products includes solving a maximal s-t flow in a bipartite graph to obtain a minimum cut for the bipartite graph and selecting products bounded by the minimum cut. An apparatus for product selection is also described.
Abstract:
A method and a system which apply a regression clustering algorithm and a classification algorithm on the dataset are provided. In particular, a method and a system are provided which generate a plurality of different functions correlating datapoints of a dataset and determine directives by which to classify new data with respect to the plurality of different functions.
Abstract:
Methods and associated apparatus comprise, among other features, organizing previously acquired auction data into a plurality of sub-samples, each sub-sample comprising bid data associated with auctions having a common number of bidders, applying an inverse bid function to at least two sub-samples, pooling results from applying the inverse bid function to form a first pool, applying a direct bid function on the first pool to generate sample bids, matching bids from at least one sub-sample to the sample bids, and pooling results from the matching with the first pool to form a second pool.
Abstract:
A family of emitter turn-off thyristors and their drive circuit comprise a gate turn-on (GTO) thyristor, a first switch, the drain of the first switch being connected to the cathode of the GTO thyristor, and a second switch connected between the gate of the GTO thyristor and the source of the first switch. The first switch consists of many paralleled metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs). The anode of the GTO thyristor and the source of the first switch serve as the annode and the cathode, respective, of the emitter turn-off thyristor. The emitter turn-off thyristor has four control electrodes: the gate of the GTO thyristor, the control electrode of the second switch, the gate of the first switch, and the cathode of the GTO thyristor. The drive circuit comprises a current source circuit, a voltage clamp circuit, a current direction detector, and a control circuit. The ETO thyristor further comprises a current sensing and over-current detector circuit. The first switch is packaged in a printed circuit board.
Abstract:
A unit dose medicine feeder for use in a packaging machine that can receive pills individually from a reservoir has a cylindrical housing having a base with an opening through which a pill may pass. There is a wheel-like component on the base that has a plurality of slots about its outer periphery. The slots are sized to receive a single pill in the form of a tablet, capsule or caplet and are oriented to have walls that are 10° to 45° from vertical. A gear mechanism is provided to connect the wheel-like component to a motor to rotate the wheel-like component. That rotation will sequentially align the slots with the opening in the base allowing a pill within the slot to pass from the slot through the opening. The orientation of the slots enables the wheel to receive a wider range of pill sizes without jamming and without dispensing more than one unit from a slot. Preferably there is a trap door in the medicine feeder that directs a dispensed pill directly to packaging material in a packaging machine.
Abstract:
Synthesis of novel images from example images is achieved by interpolating among example images based on user selection of parameter values in a hierarchy of networks referred to as parent networks and child networks. Child networks describe distinct physical characteristics of the image, such as thickness of eyebrows. Parent networks describe more general or abstract characteristics related to the image, such as emotional states expressed by the image.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a mask showing my new design; FIG. 2 is another perspective view thereof; FIG. 3 is a front elevational view thereof; FIG. 4 is a rear elevational view thereof; FIG. 5 is a left side elevational view thereof; FIG. 6 is a right side elevational view thereof; FIG. 7 is a top plan view thereof; FIG. 8 is a bottom plan view thereof; FIG. 9 is an enlarged view of portion 9 shown in FIG. 1; and, FIG. 10 is an enlarged view of portion 10 shown in FIG. 1. The dash-dash broken lines in the drawings depict portions of the mask that form no part of the claimed design. The dot-dash broken lines represent boundaries of the enlarged portions and form no part of the claimed design.
