Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications at a device are described. The device may receive an indication of a configuration that schedules semi-persistently scheduled resources for transmissions from the first device. The device may also receive an indication of a set of resources available to the first device for requesting a set of the semi-persistently scheduled resources configured for the first device. The device may transmit a message over the set of resources to request the set of semi-persistently scheduled resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for improving sidelink communication reliability. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may map allocated sidelink resources from a logical domain to a physical domain, where the mapped resources may include greater frequency diversity in the physical domain. A frequency range of a sidelink control channel or of a sidelink data channel may be greater in the physical domain than in the logical domain after the mapping. In some examples, sidelink communications may be associated with an aggregation factor that represents a number of repetitions of a sidelink communication. In this example, a UE may repeat a sidelink communication within a contention-based resource pool a number of times before receiving feedback in order to increase communication reliability. A first UE may communicate a sidelink communication with a second UE using a resource mapping or repetitions of the sidelink communication.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may transmit feedback signaling for received sidelink messages to both the base station and the transmitting UE. The receiving UE may multicast a feedback message to both the base station and the transmitting UE on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or on a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH). The base station may configure the receiving UE with resources, the transmitting UE may allocate resources to the receiving UE, or the base station may actively monitor for the feedback message. In some examples, the receiving UE may operate in a dual connectivity mode, and may transmit the feedback message to both the base station and the transmitting UE on both the PUCCH and the PSFCH.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Described techniques provide for signaling for configuring energy scheduling requests or communications scheduling requests from a semi-passive user equipment (UE) to the network. A semi-passive UE may transmit a message indicating a UE class type to a serving network entity (e.g., indicating that the UE is a semi-passive UE). The network entity may transmit control signaling indicating a configuration for the UE to transmit energy scheduling requests or communications scheduling requests. The UE may transmit an energy scheduling request or communications scheduling request in accordance with the configuration. In response to an energy scheduling request, the network entity may indicate a resource for an energy transfer signal, and the UE may monitor for and receive an energy transfer signal in the indicated resource. In response to a communications scheduling request, the network entity may indicate a resource for a data transmission.
