Abstract: Hinges are disclosed including: a first hinge portion; a second hinge portion; a biasing means; and at least one hydraulic damper; the first and second hinge portions are connected together and are arranged to pivot with respect to one another about a hinge axis between an open condition and a closed condition; the biasing means is arranged to bias the hinge towards the closed condition; the at least one hydraulic damper is compressed from an extended condition to a retracted condition as the hinge moves from the open condition to the closed condition; at least one of the hinge portions is arranged to attach to a gate; and wherein the at least one damper is located outside of the gate and inside one of the hinge portions.

Abstract: A hinge assembly for an appliance includes features that allow for a door rotatably hinged to the appliance to be raised or lowered through various phases of the swing arc of the door by utilizing a ramped surface of a bracket of the hinge assembly as the working surface. In one exemplary aspect, a hinge assembly includes a hinge bracket having a pivot pin and a ramped surface. The door hinge assembly also includes a cam assembly coupled with the door and having a cam projection. As the door is swung about its swing arc, the cam projection engages the ramped surface of the hinge bracket. In this way, the door can be raised along the vertical direction as the door is rotated through its swing arc.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hinge device for opening and closing a cover of office equipment, and more particularly to a hinge device disposed at a cover which is rotatably opened and closed and having a multi-layered cam and a slider, so that a free stop section and a slow down section are performed in closing the cover, thereby reducing a noise in closing the cover and improving a sensibility of product.The hinge device for opening and closing a cover of office equipment of the present invention comprises: a housing (10) which is disposed at a main body (110) of an office equipment and having a pair of hinge holes (11) on the upper portion thereof; a rotational lever (20) which is fixedly disposed at a cover (120) and having hinge holes (21) at the rear thereof and being provided with a hinge connection part (22) inserted into the upper portion inside the housing (10) at the lower portion of the rear thereof; a hinge shaft (30) being inserted into the hinge holes (11) of the housing (10) and the hinge holes (21) of the rotational lever (20) and combined with them and supporting rotation of the rotational lever (20) and the cover (120); a compression coil spring (40) being disposed inside the housing (10); and a slider (50) being disposed on the upper portion inside the housing (10) and being elastically supported by the compression coil spring (40), and the upper end portion of which contacts with the lower end surface of the hinge connection part (22) of the rotational lever (20); wherein the hinge connection part (22) of the rotational lever (20) is located at the front of hinge holes (21), so that a multi-layered cam (23) is provided to the lower end surface of the hinge connection part (22) and a supporting surface (51) is formed on the upper end surface of the slider (50), the multi-layered cam (23) of the rotational lever (20) has a stop cam (23a) in the center and at both sides thereof, down cams (23b) which locate at the rear than the surface of the stop cam (23a) and are lower than the stop cam (23a), the supporting surface (51) of the slider (50) has an inclined plane that is getting higher toward the front, at the center of the front end, a stop surface (51a) which contacts with the stop cam (23a) of the rotational lever (20) and down surfaces (51b) which is protruded from both sides of the stop surface (51a) and contact with the down cams (23b) are provided.

Abstract: A hinge for cold rooms or glass shutters includes a stationary support structure and a shutter movable between an open position and a closed position. The hinge includes a hinge body with a working chamber; a pivot coupled with the hinge body to rotate between the open and the closed positions of the shutter; a cam element unitary with the pivot; a plunger element sliding in the working chamber and having a slider with an operative face interacting with the cam element; a counteracting elastic member acting on the plunger element to move it between a position proximal to the bottom wall of the working chamber and a position distal therefrom. The cam element includes an elongated appendix extending from the pivot to come in contact engagement with the operative face of the slider. The pivot is placed at one of the side walls of the working chamber.

Abstract: A hinge for a door anchored to a wall, the hinge including a fixed element coupled to the wall and a movable element coupled to the door. The fixed and movable elements rotate between an open position and a closed position about a first longitudinal axis. One of the movable and fixed elements includes cam means rotating about the first longitudinal axis, the other of the movable and fixed elements including follower means mutually interacting with the cam means for sliding along a second longitudinal axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis. The follower means includes an elastic counteracting element. The cam means includes a first cam element interacting with the follower means for movement from end-stroke positions to an intermediate position and vice-versa. The cam means further includes a second cam element interacting with the follower means for movement from the intermediate position to the end-stroke positions and vice-versa.
