摘要： A hinge cover assembly for a pre-mounted hinge includes a cup cover releasably connected to a hinge cup of the pre-mounted hinge, an arm cover removably connected to a hinge arm of the pre-mounted hinge, the hinge arm pivotally connected to the hinge cup, and a hinge cover pivotally connected to the cup cover and slidably engaged with the arm cover. The hinge cover is pivotally connected to the hinge cup with a set of pins and a set of torsion springs. The set of torsion springs bias the hinge cover against the arm cover. As the hinge cup is pivoted between an open position and a closed position, the bias of the set of torsion springs and the slidable engagement of the hinge cover with the arm cover enables the hinge cover to extend and retract with respect to the hinge arm and cover the pre-mounted hinge.

摘要： A hinge leaf of synthetic plastic material, such as polyethylene or polypropylene, is provided with fastener holes to secure the hinge leaf to the toilet seat or lid or other hinge member, and also has a recess adjacent these holes. Formed integral with the hinge leaf so that it cannot be lost or misplaced and is always at hand is a fastener hole cover which swings downward to conceal the fastener holes and has a tongue or lug which fits snugly into the recess as a detent to hold the cover in place. The cover is hinged along a side edge of the hinge leaf so as to swing thereover into detent engagement with the undercut opposite side edge.

A base plate between the parts is formed with respective threaded hole receiving the spindles, the base plate being secured to the one leaf for movement of the one leaf in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction relative to the base plate.

Top and bottom sheet-metal parts forming a housing surround one of the hinge leaves. The top part is formed with a plurality of downwardly projecting side flaps each projecting toward and bearing on an upper face of the bottom part. Each side flap is formed with at least one downward projecting tab that extends past, is bent over, and bears upward against a bottom face of the bottom part. Two rotatable adjustment spindles are each journaled in the housing and threaded in the one leaf so that rotation of the spindles moves the one leaf in a first direction perpendicular to the hinge axis.
