    Abstract: An image decoding method performed by a decoding device includes: obtaining image information including prediction-related information from a bitstream; determining whether combined inter-picture merge and intra-picture prediction (CIIP) is applied to a current block, on the basis of the prediction-related information; deriving a prediction sample of the current block on the basis of it being determined that the CIIP is applied to the current block; and generating a reconstructed sample of the current block on the basis of the prediction sample, wherein the prediction sample of the current block is derived on the basis of an intra prediction sample and an inter prediction sample, wherein the intra prediction sample is derived on the basis of an intra prediction mode, wherein the intra prediction mode is derived on the basis of a decoder side intra mode derivation (DIMD) mode or a template-based inter mode derivation (TIMD) mode.

    Abstract: An image decoding method performed by a decoding device is provided. The method comprises the steps of: determining whether to use a multi-layer decoder-side motion vector refinement (MDMVR) for a current block; deriving a refined motion vector for the current block on the basis of using the MDMVR for the current block; deriving prediction samples for the current block on the basis of the refined motion vector; and generating reconstruction samples for the current block on the basis of the prediction samples.

    Abstract: A video decoding method performed by a video decoding device according to the present document may comprise the steps of: acquiring image information from a bitstream, the image information including a picture header associated with the current picture including a plurality of slices; parsing, from the picture header, at least one of a first flag indicating whether information necessary for an inter-prediction operation for a decoding process is present in the picture header, or a second flag indicating whether information necessary for an intra-prediction operation for the decoding process is present in the picture header; generating prediction samples by performing at least one of intra-prediction or inter-prediction for the slices in the current picture on the basis of at least one of the first flag or the second flag; and generating reconstructed samples on the basis of the prediction samples.

    Abstract: According to the disclosure of the present document, an image decoding method performed by a decoding device comprises the steps of: acquiring, through a bitstream, image information including prediction mode information and residual information; deriving a prediction mode of a current block on the basis of the prediction mode information; deriving prediction samples on the basis of the prediction mode; deriving residual samples on the basis of the residual information; generating reconstruction samples on the basis of the prediction samples and the residual samples; deriving filter coefficients for an adaptive loop filter (ALF) procedure for the reconstruction samples; and generating modified reconstruction samples on the basis of the reconstruction samples and the filter coefficients, wherein the image information includes a first adaptation parameter set (APS) including an ALF data field, and the ALF data field includes ALF parameters used to derive the filter coefficients.
