Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication in a shared spectrum. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive an indication of a set of starting offsets for an uplink communication, wherein the set of starting offsets includes at least one negative starting offset relative to a start of a slot or a mini-slot in which the uplink communication is configured to start; select a starting offset from the set of starting offsets; and transmit the uplink communication, wherein the uplink communication starts at a time indicated by the selected starting offset. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to scheduling and communicating in an uplink direction over a medium shared by multiple network operating entities are provided. A first wireless communication device transmits, to a second wireless communication device, a message indicating an uplink allocation in a transmission slot, the uplink allocation including an allocation size based on an allowable listen-before-talk (LBT) delay in the transmission slot. The first wireless communication device receives, from the second wireless communication device, an uplink communication signal in the transmission slot, the uplink communication signal including an uplink data portion based on the allocation size and a filler portion associated with an LBT delay in the transmission slot.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to DL control message monitoring are provided. A first wireless communication device monitors for a downlink control message from a base station during a first monitoring duration. Additionally, the first wireless communication device monitors for a network activity indication signal from the base station during the first monitoring duration. The first wireless communication device detects the network activity indication signal based on the monitoring of the network activity indication signal. The first wireless communication device switches from the first monitoring duration to a second monitoring duration for the monitoring of the downlink control message in response to detecting the network activity indication signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may communicate in an unlicensed spectrum (e.g., a shared radio frequency spectrum band). As such, the UE may determine a codebook size for transmitting hybrid access request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) feedback with respect to the unlicensed spectrum. Accordingly, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number of HARQ processes with which the UE has been configured. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number and/or duration of downlink channel monitoring occasions indicated by the base station. In some cases, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a combination of the techniques described herein.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for determining whether a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) is to be transmitted, and a configuration for transmission of the CSI-RS on a wideband based on an outcome of a listen-before-talk (LBT) operation in multiple sub-bands of the wideband. In one aspect, a base station may transmit sub-band usage information indicating sub-band availability before the CSI-RS, thereby allowing a user equipment (UE) to determine whether the CSI-RS will be transmitted and, if so, on which sub-bands the CSI-RS will be transmitted. Furthermore, rate matching configurations are provided based on whether sub-band usage has been received, based on which sub-bands are available. Still further, power configurations and resource element selection criteria are provided for wideband CSI-RS and CSI feedback.

The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of one or more group identifiers associated with scheduled communications with the base station during a time period. The UE may contend, based at least in part on the group identifier of the UE and the one or more group identifiers received from the base station, for access to a set of autonomous uplink (AUL) resources during the time period. The UE may perform, based at least in part on the contending, an AUL transmission to the base station using the set of autonomous uplink resources.

Abstract: A narrowband apparatus determines a set of monitored resource blocks (RBs) on a subframe for monitoring for CRS from a base station may monitor for the CRS from the base station on the subframe based on the set of monitored RBs. The base station determines a bandwidth for transmitting the CRS to a user equipment, the bandwidth being less than a system bandwidth and transmits the CRS to the UE using the determined bandwidth. The UE monitors for the CRS on a set of monitored RBs. The set of monitored RBs may include a center set of resource blocks and a number of resources blocks around a center frequency on a subset of subframes. The center set of resource blocks may have a size based on a bandwidth capability of the UE and a system bandwidth.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may determine that a channel, such as a downlink channel or an uplink channel, and a positioning reference signal (PRS) occasion are scheduled for a common set of resources, such as a common frequency, a common time, and/or the like. This may result in the UE being unable to receive the PRS and/or process the PRS as a result of receiving the channel. In some aspects, the UE may determine that a PRS collides with a channel, and may perform a collision response action, such as dropping at least a portion of the channel, based at least in part on determining that the PRS occasion collides with the channel.
