Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A central access node (CAN) may manage and schedule resources for a wireless mesh network. The CAN may transmit a first message to a relay access node (AN) to expedite transmission of a priority communication in the wireless mesh network. The first message may provide configuration information for modifying a preconfigured schedule to expedite the transmission of the priority communication. For example, the first message may provide configuration information to modify a preconfigured schedule to allow a first network node to transmit the priority communication to a second network node during a reserved time period. The relay AN may generate a second message regarding the modified schedule and transmit the second message to the second network node.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. The method may include determining, at a wireless device, a logical identifier (ID) as a pseudo-random function of a physical device ID of the wireless device and a synchronization channel index, where the synchronization channel index corresponds to an instance of a periodically repeating synchronization channel in a radio frame. The wireless device may be a base station in a serving cell, such that the synchronization channel may be to synchronize a downlink to communicate with a user equipment (UE) operating in a narrow-band cellular internet of things. The method may also include generating a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) for each instance of the periodically repeating synchronization channel in the frame based at least in part on the logical ID and the corresponding synchronization channel index, and transmitting the frame from the wireless device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for synchronizing a user equipment (UE) in a device-to-device communications network. The UE may scan for a synchronization signal transmitted from another UE in the network. A synchronization frame including a plurality of slots to use may be identified based at least in part on a result of the scanning. The identified synchronization frame may be analyzed to select a slot to use from the plurality of slots of the synchronization frame. A synchronization signal may be transmitted using the identified synchronization frame and the selected slot.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A communication device, such as a base station or a user equipment (UE) may generate a beacon signal based on a nonuniform power spectral density configuration. The communication device may transmit control signaling indicating a nonuniform power spectral density profile associated with the beacon signal. The nonuniform power spectral density profile may indicate a respective power offset associated with the beacon signal for one or more subset of resource elements of a set of resource elements. The communication device may transmit the beacon signal. Additionally or alternatively, the communication device may receive control signaling indicating the nonuniform power spectral density profile associated with the beacon signal. Based on the nonuniform power spectral density profile, the communication device may receive the beacon signal.

Abstract: Aspects generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node may receive a configuration that indicates multiple resource patterns for one or more slots, wherein each resource pattern corresponds to a different set of one or more resource block (RB) sets within the one or more slots, and wherein each resource pattern includes at least one of: a resource availability pattern that indicates at least one of hard resources, soft resources, or not available resources for one or more RB sets corresponding to that resource pattern, or a resource directionality pattern that indicates at least one of uplink resources, downlink resources, or flexible resources for the one or more RB sets corresponding to that resource pattern. The IAB node may apply a resource pattern, of the multiple resource patterns, based at least in part on the configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.
