The method comprises applying a first base station security key to a first communication link with the macro cell base station; generating a second base station security key to be used for a second communication link with the small cell base station based on the first base station security key; applying the second base station security key to the second communication link with the small cell base station; and communicating through at least one of the first communication link and the second communication link.

Abstract: An operating method and an apparatus according to data duplicate retransmission in a mobile communication system are provided. A method of a User Equipment (UE) according to data duplicate retransmission in a mobile communication system includes storing a Media Access Control Protocol Data Unit (MAC PDU) received from an Evolved Node B (ENB) in a soft buffer, decoding the MAC PDU, determining whether the decoding is a first successful decoding of data of the corresponding soft buffer, and determining whether to forward the decoded MAC PDU to an upper layer according to the determination result.

The method includes receiving a configuration request message for configuring a Serving Cell Group (SCG) from a second eNB located in a service area of a first eNB through the first eNB; configuring an SCG cell based on the configuration request message, and sending a configuration response message in response to the configuration request message to the second eNB through the first eNB; and performing random access if there is uplink data present on a logic channel (LCH) relocated into the SCG cell.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The UE receives a system information block (SIB) from a base station. The UE identifies downlink (DL) subframes indicated by a first time division duplex (TDD) uplink (UL)/DL configuration in the SIB. The UE monitors the PDCCH transmitted from the base station on at least one DL subframe included in an active time of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle among the DL subframes. The UE obtains information about a second TDD UL/DL configuration from the monitored PDCCH. The UE monitors the PDCCH using the second TDD UL/DL configuration. The active time includes a duration corresponding to a number of at least one consecutive DL subframe at a beginning of the DRX cycle.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting power headroom information by a terminal in a mobile communication system. The method includes receiving, by the terminal, information on an allocated uplink transmission resource; determining whether a path loss has changed more than a threshold, after transmitting last power headroom information, when the terminal has the allocated uplink transmission resource; if the path loss has changed more than the threshold when the terminal has the allocated uplink transmission resource, determining a transmission of the power headroom information; and transmitting an uplink packet including the power headroom information using the allocated uplink transmission resource. The power headroom information is obtained based on a difference between a maximum transmission power of the terminal and a transmission power of the terminal.
