Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for recording videos in a video call. The method includes: determining a key voice input end of the video call and acquiring an image of the key voice input end; storing audio data of the video call; synthesizing the acquired image and audio, and then writing the synthesized image and audio into a recorded video file. The present invention solves the defect that the existing video call methods can not record flexibly by determining a source of a key voice, acquiring an image corresponding to the key voice, and synthesizing the image and a recorded audio, so that the sound and the image in the recorded video can be displayed correspondingly, and since only the image of the key voice input end in the call is displayed, the image in the recorded video is clearer.
Abstract:
A method for providing video-based communication between an originating user and a recipient located within a call center includes a server receiving an originating live video call, the server holding the live video call, the server generating a placeholder call corresponding to the live video call, and the server transmitting the placeholder call through the network to the call center. The method may also include the call center determining if an agent with video call capability is available, and if an agent with video call capability is available, the call center transmitting the placeholder call to the available agent within the call center, the call center generating a video link and transmitting the video link to the server, the server receiving the video link, and the server matching the video link to the live video call to establish communication with the agent.
Abstract:
Novel tools and techniques to enable video enhancements identifying the calling party of an incoming telephone call. In an aspect of some such tools, a video message from the calling party is sent to the receiving party through a communication channel in the provider network. Upon receiving an incoming telephone call at the provider network, the video message can be associated with the incoming telephone call, and routed to a set-top unit (also referred to herein as a “set-top box”) associated with the receiving party. The set-top unit might communicate with a visual display screen (e.g., a television), and/or cause the visual display screen to show the video message for the receiving party as an indication of the incoming telephone call and identification of the calling party.
Abstract:
A method for reducing a risk of a call connection failure in a video communication providing a multimedia ring back tone service includes replying to a call connection request from a calling terminal, receiving a first message, determining whether the first message includes predetermined data and if the first message includes the predetermined data, setting a second message from the calling terminal as an initial value for a Numbered Simple Retransmission Protocol (NSRP) session with the calling terminal. The predetermined data may include a video temporal spatial tradeoff command, miscellaneous video temporal spatial indication, or a video fast update picture command. A system to perform the method includes a receiving unit, a determination unit, and a setting unit.
Abstract:
A voicemail system (18, 30) includes a memory (38, 64) and a processor (34, 62). The memory (38, 64) can store data relating to one or more users. An incoming communication can be handled by the voicemail system (18, 30) and provided with functionality based upon a user's preferences, for example. The voicemail system (18, 30) can include functionality to allow a user to convert a voicemail message to a desired format and forward the file to one or more designated destinations. Methods (700, 800, 900, 1000) for forwarding one or messages are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Disclosed are various embodiments for a call control application bridges communication devices with a media call. In one embodiment, the call control application receives a request to place a media call from a source device to a destination device. The call control application determines if at least one of the source device and the destination device is associated with a telephone number registered in a relay registry. In response to a determination that the telephone number is registered in the registry, the call control application directs an intermediary agent to place a first media call to the source device and a second media call to the destination device. The call control application then bridges the first media call and the second media call via the intermediary agent.
Abstract:
System that includes a web server (2) enabling the user to access, from a remote computer (5), several nodes (1) that include a primary node server (11), which is connected to: —a management database (12); —at least one PABX (13), —at least one video server (14); —and a number of representative rooms (15), where there is a telephone terminal (16) connected to one of the PABXs (13) and a webcam (17) or video camera connected to one of the video servers (14), enabling two-way voice transmission between the representative and the user, by means of telephone communication through the telephone terminal (16) and the telephone (4), and one-way transmission of video images from the webcam (17) to the user's remote computer (5).
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a call setup message for a call from a calling party device to a called party device is received. At least one calling party parameter for the calling party device is determined. A user message is selected based on the at least one calling party parameter. Delivery of the user message to the calling party device is initiated in parallel with a call setup for the call from the calling party device to the called party device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of providing moving-image advertisements and coupons using VoIP. The present invention provides a method of providing moving-image advertisements and coupons using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). According to the above-described present invention, advertisements for products are provided in the form of moving images in a video call reception standby state, so that users can ascertain the content of the advertisements and the drawing of the attention of users towards the moving-image advertisements is increased, thereby maximizing the effects of the advertisements and also promoting the purchasing of products. A user and his or her counter party can be provided with coupons while on a video call, so that a minimum number of persons for cooperative buying can be easily achieved.
Abstract:
Ring-back content is provided to a mobile video caller willing to call a recipient in a process in which: the ring-back content is stored, a first communication leg is established between an intermediate network element and the mobile video caller, a second communication leg is established between the intermediate network element and the recipient, and the delivery of the ring-back content to the mobile video caller is started between the initiating of the mobile video call and answering to the call by the recipient. The delivery of the ring-back content may be lead by an early connect message to delay charging. On establishing the second communication leg, no connect message is passed to the caller, but the charging of the mobile video call is started.
