Abstract:
An image reading apparatus, including a transparent plate, a positioning member which is provided on the transparent plate so as to define, on one of opposite sides of the positioning member, a reading place where a sheet having an image is placed, and which positions the sheet placed on the reading place, an image taking device, a housing which supports the transparent plate and accommodates the image taking device such that the image taking device is movable below, and along, the transparent plate, and a reading control portion which controls the image taking device to take, through the transparent plate, the image from the sheet placed on the reading place, while the image taking device is moved below, and along, the transparent plate. The positioning member is detachably attached to the housing.
Abstract:
A multipurpose image pickup device is disclosed to include a housing having a built-in storage battery and a memory card slot for receiving a memory card for storing digital image files, a swivel bracket turnable in and out of a top recess of the housing, a movable rack turnable in and out of an opening of the swivel bracket, a lens holder pivoted to the movable rack and holding an image forming lens for taking pictures, a lock release for locking/unlocking the swivel bracket and the movable rack, and a mode selection switch switching between a computer connection mode for enabling the multipurpose image pickup device to be used as a webcam and a business card shooting mode for enabling the multipurpose image pickup device to be independently used to take the pictures of business cards.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member having a photosensitive surface and an optical writing apparatus generating a laser beam modulated according to image data. The optical writing apparatus includes a housing, an optical deflector, an f-theta lens and a separator. The optical deflector is configured to rotate to deflect the laser beam. The f-theta lens is configured to correct the laser beam deflected by the optical deflector and to transmit a corrected laser beam towards the image bearing member. The separator is configured to separate an inside space of the housing into at least two sections including a first section in which the optical deflector is mounted and a second section in which the f-theta lens is mounted. The separator includes a heat resistant transparent plate disposed at a position of crossing passage of the laser beam between the optical deflector and the f-theta lens.
Abstract:
A light-channeling apparatus for a scanning module comprises a first light-guiding tube, a second light-guiding tube, and a collimating lens positioned inside the first light-guiding tube. The first and second light-guiding tubes are attached to a body casing of the scanning module. The scanning module uses the first light-guiding tube having the collimating lens to channel light from a light source to a scanning region and uses the second light-guiding tube to channel light reflected from the scanning region to a light passage slit on the body casing, to minimize dispersion of light from the light source and keep external light out of the light transmission pathway.
Abstract:
A mechanism for confining a flat flexible cable of an image scanner in position is provided. The flat flexible cable is electrically connected between a circuit board and a carriage and bends differentially with the movement of the carriage relative to the circuit board under a scanning platform. The mechanism includes a confining member disposed between a first portion of the flat flexible cable and the scanning platform for isolating the flat flexible cable from the scanning platform. The confining member changes states and bends differentially with the movement of the carriage relative to the circuit board under the scanning platform, and has a bending resistance greater than that of the flat flexible cable. Accordingly, the confining member is kept at least a certain clearance from the scanning platform while confining the first portion of the flat flexible cable thereunder.
Abstract:
A fixture structure is disclosed that is able to reduce the workload when adjusting a relative position of constituent components. The fixture structure includes a first member and a second member fixed with the first member by a screw. The first member has a first contacting surface, the second member has a second contacting surface in contact with the first contacting surface, the first member and the second member are fixed by the screw passing through the first contacting surface and the second contacting surface, a first notch is formed at an end of the first contacting surface, a second notch is formed at an end of the second contacting surface, and an inner end of the second notch of the second member is inside an inner end of the first notch of the first member.
Abstract:
A combination of an optical module and a transmitting and carrying structure includes an optical module, at least one carrying seat, and two rollers. The at least one carrying seat is combined with the optical module, for mounting the two rollers. The two rollers are located at the two opposite sides of the optical module. The two opposite sides of the optical module are perpendicular to the movement direction of the optical module. Thus, the at least one carrying seat and the two rollers are used to support and transmit the optical module, so that the optical module may be well balanced. In addition, the assembly height and the cost of fabrication are reduced.
Abstract:
A multi-functional scanning camera comprises a rear cover; a front cover combined to the rear cover; a main back casing; a left telescopic rod; a right telescopic rod; a left fixing unit and a right fixing unit locked to two sides of the back casing; a main front casing assembled to a main back casing; and a lower side of a rear end of the main back casing being installed with a left rotary retaining seat and a right rotary retaining seat. The scanning operation will not affect the operation of network operation. The scanner is extendable and foldable. The plurality of light emitting diodes serves to illuminate the documents located below and the adjusting button serves to adjust the illumination so that the words on the document are shown clearly.
